True story (yeah):
I last visited Red Robin about 6-8 years ago because I was hungry, hadn’t been there in years and it was walking distance from the service center for the company vehicle.
I ordered mostly off of the picture of the burger which also sounded appealing.
What I received...I regret not taking a photo. Long story short, I complained, the manager was a smart ass, I called him on it and he followed me all the way out to the street, berating me as I went.
It nearly came to blows (which would have been bad for him in multiple ways).
Moral of the story:
You can fish with saturated ‘bait’, but you damned well better deliver on product.
To say that I’m pleased with the continually-worsening stock outlook for Red Robin would be an understatement, and if another restaurant takes the same tack I will NEVER go back (plus share/tell as many people as possible).
