Six guests and one employee were transported by ambulance to get medical treatment, the Silver Dollar City theme park said in a statement on Twitter. The park did not detail the extent of the injuries.
“Onsite paramedics provided emergency care until first responders arrived,” the park said.
The Frisco Silver Dollar Line Steam Train brings guests on a scenic 20-minute ride through the countryside, interrupted by a theatrical “stick-up” by a band of train robbers, the park’s website says. The ride is billed as a staple of the park that has been in operation since 1962.

That and my favorite, the Jungle Gym. You can’t even chip a tooth on the new ones.
If they read the posts in order they’d understand and not reply to me from my previous post though.
see post #6....(thanks needed a laugh)
Its how Wheel of Fortune got so popular. Subconsciously primed tens of millions of boomers for decades.
It could be that something feel on the track, but it also sounds like it could have been mechanical failure on one of the cars.
And faster too! Although California High Speed Rail takes "highway robbery" to a whole new level.
Ridden on Branson Scenic Railway many times but haven’t been to Silver Dollar City in decades
Just as long as the conversation doesn't go off the rails...
LOL 🤣
Sorry! Didn’t mean to (have you to catch me) piling on.
Yeah, that’s one of my pet peeves around here.
Next you'll expect people to read the excerpt instead of just the headline.
I’m 68 and I’m with you. However, when I was younger I loved them. It was a slow progression to the way I feel about them now and I think it started when I was around 40. I get all the excitement and want now driving my sports car around the twisties of Kentucky and drifting from time to time.
I just got back from WDW. Loved Guardians of the Galaxy, Rockin’ Rollercoaster, the mining mountain rollercoaster, and Tower of Terror, Test Track. As long as the are well maintained often inspected, they should be ok, and I love them.
BTW, I’ll be 72 soon.
This is a kids’ ride! Nothing fast about it. The pretend “stick up” is by a bunch of park-employee hillbillies and is basically a series of Dad-jokes aimed at the 6- to 9-year-olds riding with their families.
There must have been a wash-out under the tracks or something. It’s a nice, relaxing train ride through the woods - not a seat belt on the benches, and none needed (until this...)
Sorry - I didn’t see #6 either....
I LOVED THAT!!!
My nephew was injured in that wreck, taken to the hospital with a huge knot on his head. His wife sitting beside him uninjured.
Oh no. Better keep an eye on that head injury. Hopefully they’ll keep him overnight.
I am guilty as charged.
