Jets got away with tripping on that return, it was pretty obvious.
Early days early days.... That said the Bills should have put this game away long before the 4th quarter. Week 1 strange stuff happens, teams are rusty and haven’t played into sync and shape.
Jets defense is pretty salty though. Should be a good game against the Cowboys, Rodgers or no Rodgers.
Made mine picklist one game better, too.
Overall mine still stinks but it could be worse.
Like perfume on tcow patties.
Yes their D is good. How far can they go with Zach Wilson (if they have)?
Rogers has an Achilles injury. Coach said, “ It isn’t good”
Next weeks games will look totally different than this weeks. Hard to get a handle on these games/teams after one week. Starters will have some practice now. Looking at next weeks Pickems there are some tough calls for me at the moment.
Oh that’s not good.
This may be worse than when Unitas went to the Chargers.
All together hat’s three Achilles injuries in the first week
Or when the Reds traded for Griffey Jr. [what a bust, didn’t win shit and he was hurt a lot) Did you know the Reds are just this season finishing up paying Jr. They’ve been paying him almost $4 million a year for the last 12 years.
It reminds me of the Burrow hoopla we heard here for a month about his contract, and then he signs it and falls flat on his face. NY and all sports media have been all Rodgers, all offseason, and then BAM..4 plays and out. I hate NY teams and I dislike Rodgers, but I feel for Jets fans right now. This may be the end for Aaron if the Achilles is ruptured, a bad strain and he might be back by week 8. We’ll see.
Something needs to be done. You can just look at see these artificial fields aren’t good.
Players should strike.
I think they should seriously consider it. That’s one strike I would support.
The time for them to go on strike is now. There’s a bunch of stadiums that are going to be replaced. So the owners are going to want to make their stadiums like the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Then they’ll be able to host events year round.
I vote for grass. But I can remember some pretty bad injuries on grass as well. Artificial turf was cool in 1972.
Remember the Super Bowl in Arizona a couple years ago the players said it was the worst field ever. They grow the grass outside and then slide the field inside on train tracks into the dome there. Grass can be great, but I remember quite a few old games that were really played on dirt. Oakland Coliseum, Cleveland Stadium and others when we had multi purpose stadiums. Now that most teams have their own stadium grass is better, but takes a lot of work in Detroit, Green Bay and Northern areas. Re sodding won’t cut it.
Uh oh....
At least you ended the week on a winning note... now we get to see the Boys take on the (likely Rodgers-less) Jets this week... will be interesting to see how many they can put up on the Jets D...
I think Zach Wilson will be fine. He got better as the game progressed. It has to boost his confidence.
