This is why they tell you to get to the airport 2 HOURS EARLY.
Welcome to one of the busiest days in the entire year for air travel.
This is @Reagan_Airport at ~6am on the eve of Thanksgiving 2023.

“We have TSA Pre-Check. Problem is, nowadays, so does everyone else.”
Not really, most Americans these days cannot pass the drug test.
I drive everywhere. I don’t care if it takes me two or three days.
I just don’t travel the day before Thanksgiving.
Long life of experience on this day.
Whether I drive, take a bus, a train, a ship or plane, this Wednesday is always going to be its own special hell on Earth.
“I haven’t flown since I retired several years ago”
Same here—I laugh when I hear about folks dreaming of travel to exotic locales during their retirement.
I hate airports, airplanes, renting cars and hotels—all of it.
Anyone ever hear of TSA accomplishing anything other than p!ssing off millions?
Look at all the masks—omg.
We traveled on Monday this time, and will return on the Monday after Thanksgiving. It wasn’t too bad. The planes were packed, but everything was on time. One problem is that we will be going on Black Friday from Oregon to SF. I hope everything works that day. Trying to see all the family that’s on Pacific time in one trip.
“Look at all the masks—omg”
Well, it is D.C. center of democrat power.
It's still faster than the regular line.
I said “no” to flying after heightened security after 9/11. Do I look Arabic? No. Yet everyone was treated as a potential terrorist.
Then there was covid. Pilots retired rather than get the shot and flights were delayed and cancelled. I never got the shot and would not want to wear a mask, so who knows how I would be treated? Flying commercial has no appeal. Relatives die and I don’t go to funerals. Sorry, but I don’t like driving long distances as much now as in the past, and I’m not flying.
Flying has even less appeal than going to Disneyworld.
There is no drug test for TSA PreCheck.
“There is no drug test for TSA PreCheck.”
Shhhh, quiet. Already too many people with PreCheck.
BWI looks about the same.
9am this morning At Denver International the missus and I strolled through TSA Pre-Check with the only delay being they pulled my bag to inspect the chocolate chips I was carrying home.
No delays on flight to Las Vegas, and no delay on connecting flight to Bellingham Washington. Both planes only 85% capacity.
