Van Halen played at my brother’s senior prom when they were starting out So California. Later Roth was on a late night show with Leno and Robin Williams. It was sad. Williams kindly helped Roth talk and complete sentences.

Yeah, they were playing all those parties up in Pasadena, Arcadia, etc. I remember working with friends in El Monte who said they had seen them at those parties. I used to work with Alban Snoopy Pfisterer the drummer for the group Love. He was a trip.....true blue hippie. Lived in Sierra Madre.

He’s always been kind of funny. He is a character. It may be legitimate but there is definitely some bitterness there. I’m thinking the mom must detest Roth. The Bertinelli woman. The one always whining about her life. But she does love her son.

I saw them some time in the early 80's as well. But like Dave i think most of the audience was stoned out of their minds myself included. If I could go back in time I would go back sober to see what I missed.
I think of David Lee Roth as the Donald Trump of Rock and Roll. He’s way smarter than 95% of his peers and says some whacky stuff, but there’s usually truth behind it.
BTW I think Wolfgang has more talent than Dave AND Eddie. Eddie destroyed himself, smoking and drinking. And Ol Diamond Dave is still alive n kicking.

You know, I think I agree. I just listened to the video and yeah...he seems to be making sense and it’s funny with the music and what he’s saying...but it seems to be truth. Good comparison.

Yeah, Eddie did a number on himself with the cocoa....I think he even lost his teeth from the drugs.
Rod Stewart and Faces is my GoTo for guitar licks. Ronny Wood was awesome back then. I love playing Stay With Me in open G. It’s a g good warm up tune.
He actually was looking pretty good, before the Cancer got him. But the damage was done, unfortunately.
