I had to pay $36,000 out of pocket end of last year for my cancer treatment because what the VA offered was so archaic, so backward, it would have left me a mess. Of course you have interns doing a lot of the work there, a lot of foreign trained doctors (predominantly India), no legal recourse if something is botched, the cheapest meds available for any given issue, long wait times (I'm 2 months over due for an MRI to see if I'm clear)... It's the VA. They have a reputation to live up to.

BTW, as a customer, during the Trump era where the MSM relentlessly kept talking about how Trump doesn't care about Vets, you could literally see the positive changes in the VA. By year 3 of Trump, the VA was an entirely different animal (in a good way). And today, even as the VA slips backward no one in the MSM cares.

No stories about long wait times returning in many of the major hospitals, no stories about how you can't get pain meds today even if you really need them...

You can't get quick treatment for cancer, but if you want a Covid vaccine and all 100 boosters, you can get them on the spot!

Government is a political beast. Everything they touch becomes a political decision.

Since all this LGBTQIA junk is trendy right now and every politician wants to jump behind it, the VA will likely end up paying for this if they aren't already.
