Biden is the problem.
I don’t have a problem with eating cereal and milk for dinner. People eat cereal for breakfast or snacks and there’s no boycotts. That’s 55 cents and add a banana for 82 cents. A cheapo plain baloney sandwich with mayo is 30 cents and add an orange for 87 cents. Beans and rice would be less. It takes some creative budget shopping but a decent dinner with meat and two sides can be made for $1.

I don’t either — if it is one of the healthier cereals with some fruit tossed in. If it’s good enough for breakfast, it’s good enough for an occasional dinner. And beans and rice are routinely eaten in other countries — sometimes without meat. A good soup can be a yummy meal, too, with some bread on the side.
You should be an adviser to people on low incomes.

(And Biden and brain dead Elizabeth Warren - - it’s easier to stretch a budget if the container size is smaller and doesn’t have to absorb the whole cost increases caused by democrat inflation... During the worst of inflation, Publix was putting out 6 egg cartons - not to ‘fool’ people into thinking it was really a dozen eggs but to make it cheaper so people could buy a smaller quantity by downsizing an expensive item)
Granola ............................. 300F
Mix dry ingredients together:
10 C rolled oats
1 C unsalted sunflower seeds (or more if you like)
2 C chopped almonds
1 C oat bran
2-3 Tbsp cinnamon
~ 1/2 C brown sugar (basically to taste)
In saucepan on low, add:
1/2 C butter
1/2 C olive oil
Warm until butter is melted.
Stir in 4 tsp vanilla.
Pour over dry mixture and mix well.
Spread on shallow baking dish (I use a lasagna pan but don’t make the layer of granola very deep, maybe about an inch thick)
Bake for 20 mins at 300F stirring once. You’ll have a few batches to bake from that amount of mixture.
If you want to add other stuff, do it AFTER baking. Raisins burn easily and after picking burned raisins out of a batch of granola, I learned to always add them AFTER baking.
Instead of raisins, you can add crasins, or we add shredded coconut and Nestles mini-morsels.
The recipe also originally called for about 1 C of wheat germ but we wanted a wheat free granola so just cut it out.
Addition........ I forgot to add about making chopped almonds
