The price of major brand cereals is outrageous. I always buy the house brand of my local supermarket - just as good and cheaper.

We quit eating breakfast cereal YEARS ago due to the cost and the lack of nutrition.

It simply is NOT good for you. Hyper processed faux food never is.

The nutrition values they give are never for just the cereal alone but so much cereal with some amount of milk. Well, it’s the milk giving all that apparent nutritional value.

I only eat cereal for breakfast on Saturday morning, when I can't cook. And that is always the healthiest whole grain vitamin packed type I can find, and when it's on sale. Otherwise, I make whole wheat pancakes from scratch, mushroom cheese omelets, etc. This idiotic campaign to push those sugar-laden mixes of garbage as "dinner" are disgusting.

That’s what I was thinking; the price of most name-brand cereal is no bargain. I don’t buy much cereal, so don’t buy much milk to go with it either. I just don’t figure how anyone could afford cereal for every meal. Besides that, I would think most people would want a little variety.

“The price of major brand cereals is outrageous.”

So is the diminishing quantity in the diminishing box sizes.
