We knew someone who used to take his metal detector to a few Hill Country rivers, after major summer holidays ... he’d come up with wedding rings, Rolex watches, etc.

Why would anybody go swimming with a $800 Apple watch in the first place.

Rivers and lakes are polluted with this stuff , I used to watch a guy on youtube and he did return some phones to their owners ,LOL
To: Jonty30
Yeah, that’s crazy. Water and expensive electronics don’t mix.

Ottorbox is my preferred cellphone protector.
It used to come with a lanyard hole but my current protector does not have one.
I think it is a bad choice by the Ottorbox designers to drop it.
A few iPhones are water resistant bot most are not.

LOL. He can find my daughter’s in Lake Norman. Sure there’s more than a few in there, as well.

ā He said he keeps everything he finds in the water in the hopes of returning them to their owners.ā
Iād probably just keep the stuff I find in a bag not in the water. /s

I found a Timex for someone who dropped it in 30 ft of water. Was still working. Had been there 3 days.
