Since we never owned slaves, we're off the hook. Now go find some actual slave-owners' families. Like Sonny Hostin's and Kamala Harris' and don't forget to track down the descendants of some others:

Interesting that slave ownership in the US was color-blind, while today's call for reparations is "racist" in attributing a "value" to a skin color.

My great grand father’s great grandfather owned twenty slaves.

My great grand father grew up poor, with nothing, left school after fourth grade to work, and worked for the next 80 years of his life, and invested in land. The land did not pass to me. I got a few thousand dollars.

The reparationists imagine that money accumulates indefinitely, to every descendant, and that white people are sitting on millions of stolen gain.

We aren’t.
