From stools to tools, this montage is just scratching the surface of how Atlas is getting better at manipulating it's world. We’re excited to show everyone the progress we’ve made, and look forward to continue to share the journey ahead with our next generation Atlas humanoid robot.

How much will one of those set me back?

Or, should I stick with Juan and Julio to cut my grass?

Boston Dynamics is now owned by Hyundai Motor Group.

The video. complete with zippy background music, seems far more like a market-oriented sales pitch than proof that this robot can actually perform a useful and perhaps factory-oriented completed task. Notice that the video is a set of short clips, not an extended demonstration. Smells like stock-price supporting marketing.

And it seems like an electronic version of a marionette. Entertaining, to be sure. As marketing should be.

I notice where the cuts in the video take place. Often, just before a likely potential fail.
