It’s called “democracy.”

It may be surprising to us, but there have been thinkersdown through history who didn’t believe democracy is the optimal system of government. Here is a quotation from one of them:

“Democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths. Theoretic politicians who have patronized this species of government, have erroneously supposed that by reducing mankind to a perfect equality in their political rights, they would at the same time be perfectly equalized and assimilated in their possessions, their opinions, and their passions.”

This same writer also penned this:

“Democracy is the most vile form of government.”

“Democracy is the most vile form of government.”

No wonder democrats are so fervent about it.

America is a REPUBLIC (freedom by decentralized governance), NOT a “democracy” (slavery by tyranny of the majority).

What the “Save our Deomcracy” morons don’t seem to understand is that in a true democracy there are no elected “representatives “.

They’ll be jobless.

The Founders exerted super-human efforts to make sure they did NOT bequeath us a “democracy.” They built all sorts of safeguard to make sure that would not happen.

What you said. The United States of America is a representative republic. A democracy is mob rule.

Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what’s for dinner.

Ehh... not impressed with the author’s conclusions - Especially claiming that “troo” democracy didn’t start until women’s suffrage and it’s all been downhill from there and then claiming that most minorities didn’t get to vote until the civil rights act of 1965?

While it’s true that raw democracy, which is not what America has, is vile because the people will vote themselves into a tyranny (like Venezuela which we’re well on our way to becoming) the problem we see now isn’t a “voting” problem but the government itself subverting the Democratic process - starting back with Clinton’s terms in 1992 to “reverse” the Reagan years, squandered the USSR’s collapse to ingratiate himself and the DNC (and continues to this day) and probably laid the foundation for 9/11, the economic collapse of 2008 and then began subjugating the US populace outright leading to the perverse world we live in today.

This isn’t “democracy’s” fault. When RINOs resign en masse because the conservative wing of the GOP won’t follow DNC ideologies - that’s not Democracy. That’s subversion of government.

All we have to do is get back to the Supreme Law of the Land, the Constitution. We don’t need a COS and amend the Constitution. We need to force ADHERENCE to the Constitution by TAKING DOWN the 80% unconstitutional portion of the feds and reestablishing State Sovereignty (beginning with states REFUSING federal funding)!

The jury's still out on whether the West can survive long term with women's suffrage.

So far, female voters have been voting to expand the role of government while curtailing our liberties. Ultimately, we will live in a totalitarian state.

Not happening as long as we have the 19th amendment.

When Women got the right to vote, how many were unmarried?

There will be more unmarried female voters in the future and they will vote for the Democratic Party in increasing numbers.

No father or husband as the provider. So Uncle Sam is gonna get the job done.

Women don’t get it. We’re near the end. Possibly a short change over to more freedom, I hope.

Who are voting for the communists? If it was up to men alone, Trump would have won 40 states in 2020.

"In the Republic, Plato's Socrates raises a number of criticisms of democracy. He claims that democracy is a danger due to excessive freedom. He also argues that, in a system in which everyone has a right to rule, all sorts of selfish people who care nothing for the people but are only motivated by their own personal desires are able to attain power. He concludes that democracy risks bringing dictators, tyrants, and demagogues to power. He also claims that democracies have leaders without proper skills or morals and that it is quite unlikely that the best equipped to rule will come to power."
