What $61 Billion for Ukraine Won’t Do
The American Conservative ^ | April 24, 2024 | Ted Snider

Posted on 04/24/2024 2:01:32 PM PDT by Navy Patriot

There are five things the aid package will not do for Ukraine. It will not provide enough money. It will not provide the badly needed weapons, nor deliver them on time. It will not provide the even more badly needed troops. And it will not provide victory.

Though $61 billion is a massive amount of money, it is not massive enough to defeat Russia. Ukraine accomplished little but the loss of life and the most advanced weapons during its centerpiece counteroffensive when it was receiving even more.

How am I the neocon when you supported this war from day 1.

Are you Pro-Zelensky or Pro-American?

I defy you to find one one pro-Zelensky post I've ever made.

I am pro-American, and I am not pro-Zelensky OR pro-Putin.

Why are you pro-Putin and not pro-American?

You demand I worship Putin? Screw you, I am not worshipping your atheist, leftist dictator. You claim everyone in the U.S. has to worship Putin. That's B.S. Why don't you go live i his country if you think he's some sort of god.

I am a U.S. patriot and I'm sick of you people. Your idol also endorsed Biden, and I won't be voting for him.

Kazan voted for Putin.

That guy is pure fanatical Russian scum.

It’s because of creeps like him that Russians are dying.

And you are quite correct, Putin said he prefers weakling Biden.

They are terror stricken of Trump.

You can’t handle the truth. Neither the US nor Europe are on a war-footing. They can’t support Ukraine without some significant changes to our industrial base. Many of our weapons systems have been degraded as they have been sent to Ukraine and will take years to replenish.

Most of the weapons provided to Ukraine have come from the US. Europe doesn’t have the capacity or stockpiles to supply Ukraine. They are also not on a war-footing to ramp up production quickly. As someone who was engaged in logistics during a real war, I understand what it takes to keep troops in the field armed and fed. The Ukrainians are outgunned, which is one reason why they are losing.

Good question. Anyone is entitled to an opinion, but some of these are way over the top against America or for an enemy country.

Why do you ignore a persons post even when it is a short and indisputable correction and go off on one of your angry raving rants instead, rather than just noting the correction?

You need to learn to control your raging emotions.

Who do you think you're fooling when you say you're a Trump supporter?

How are you making money off the blood of dead Ukrainians? Defense stocks? Employed by the defense industry?

If we have a civil war, you'll find I live here because I plan on putting your head on stick if one breaks out!😂

If Putin wanted Trump to win, do you really think he'd endorse him?

But, the aid to Ukraine that just passed is exactly what Putin and Russia wanted. It gives them more justification to take even more territory.

If Trump gets into office again, he'll end the war, saving Ukrainian lives and territory.

Besides that being idiotic, if you think it’s what Putin wanted then rejoice in the increased military aid.

Works for me.

I’m sure the Poor Russian soldiers who will be splattered, do not agree with your analysis.

Obviously, you didn’t click on the two links I provided to you. If you had read the articles, you wouldn’t have made your dumb remarks. Your ignorance is only exceeded by your arrogance. Have a good day.

Again you display ignorance, anger, and emotion.

I’ve read both articles in the past and have even posted the link to at least one of them myself.

You keep ignoring my post and going on about something else.
Read this again and try to focus only on the correction it is making.

“”””the artillery forces of the United States and its allies are almost completely dependent on the output of a single factory in Scranton, Pennsylvania.””””

That is ridiculous, a lot of our allies make artillery shells, and of course we are starting new lines as are other allies, Texas for instance and in Ukraine.

If you would read your own link and do some searching on the internet you would see that many of our allies manufacture artillery shells and not just European allies.

Do you see the problem with your post now?

“Russia underestimated Ukraine’s determination to resist a Russian invasion.”

They did, and the first invasion failed. Now they’ve changed to an attritional war strategy. It is slow, but sure for the stronger side.

You see, scumbag, that country was invaded and I’m glad you keep displaying their flag.

Their national pastime is very admirable, killing your Russian friends by the thousands.

Putin has impaled a whole Russian generation on that flag.
