There is a really great show on FX Tuesday Night - stars John Corbett as an on again, off again compulsive gambler and poker champ - who aslo happens to be a young widower.

Anyhow, as we are in the first season, I thought it would be neat to start up a thread to talk plotlines, characters, and the things we like about it.

Its really quirky, and on at 10 Eastern on FX. It really needs to be an hour, but its a half hour, and while the format is sitcom, its kind of a drama, too.

The number of con games that can happen in an episode is amazing. And watching his friends? Its like watching "Lifestyles of the Poor, Stupid and Pathetic". Pretty good stuff.

I enjoy the show. Pretty good storylines so far. Since it is on FX, it is one of those shows I have to make myself look for, I usually just don't 'happen' upon it like most of the network shows I watch.

What do most threads here in 'General Interest' have to do with Politics/Humor? At least the right topics are chosen: Chit/Chat; Humor; TV/Movies;

My husband is hooked on this show. I hadn't paid much atention, but I will tune in next week.

Also, for those who are griping that this isn't political, I did find out that Corbett attended the White House Correspondent's dinner with Bo Derrick, both the guests of Fox News.

I like it, but always forget to catch it first time it airs. I usually catch it during the 'encore performance' time slots. I think I have seen all the episodes ...

btw, I heard it was cancelled. True?
