Oppose Amnesty for Illegal Aliens
The Coalition for the Future American Worker (CFAW) ^

Posted on 02/03/2005 9:58:41 PM PST by Coleus

Urge your representative and senators to oppose amnesty for illegal aliens, in any shape or form.

The Bush administration will continue to push for some form of amnesty. A statement posted on the White House website (http://www.whitehouse.gov/infocus/immigration/) in a report covering President Bush’s January 7th White House meeting during which he discussed his immigration policy, stated:

“On January 7, 2004 President Bush proposed a new temporary worker prrogram to match willing foreign workers with willing U.S. employers when no Americans can be found to fill the jobs. The program would be open to new foreign workers, and to the undocumented men and women currently employed in the U.S. This new program would allow workers who currently hold jobs to come out of hiding and participate legally in America’s economy while not encouraging further illegal behavior.”

Incredibly, the same statement adds: “President Bush does not support amnesty because individuals who violate America’s laws should not be rewarded for illegal behavior and because amnesty perpetuates illegal immigration.”

However, there is strong opposition in Congress among the president’s own party. A January 12th Reuters news report noted that Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-Colo), who heads the House Immigration Reform Caucus, was determined
to block any amnesty legislation.

Look, for the umpteenth time, there will NEVER be a "FORTRESS AMERICA";it can't be done. When are you and Pat going to realize that?

Do you want planes to stop flying in and out of the USA? What about cargo ships and passenger liners and cruise ships? Throw in fishing trawlers too, while you're at it.

You begin by sounding so reasonable and then you plummet off the deep end. *sigh*

"They feel left behind, duped and used for an agenda. But they still voted for that party"

Once a pattern is established it's hard to break it. White Southerners voted Democrat until the 80s simply because Lincoln was a Republican.

That's why it's very important not to drive Hispanics into the Democrat party by use of the inflammatory rhetoric used by scam artists to con people into sending them money.

There is no "invasion", our "sonerienty" is not threatened, Hispanics do not represent a "threat to our children's' future", Mexican gangs aren't taking over our neighborhoods, we are not in danger of "losing our culture", our schools aren't being "overrun" nor our hospital emergency rooms "flooded" ....

Hispanic laborers wouldn't be here if we didn't want them.

That deals with illegal immigration...how? C'mon. What else do I want, so you can make a bogus point?

I made NO "bogus" points at all. Thousands upon thousands of illegal aliens come to this country in planes and all kinds of ships. Why don't you want air and seaways closed? Why is it that you are able to only think about one or two borders, when there are FOUR borders;all of which are being used by illegals as gateways into America?

I don't live on the border states of the USA, I live in Aurora, Illinois. How far do you think I am from Mexican gangs taking over the neighborhood?

Of course, we are discussing Mexican illegals, which dominate the subject, but I'm concerned with all illegal immigration. I'm an equal opportunity discriminator against those sneaking across without going through the proper channels.

BTW, inner city Aurora is a dump. You might not get photos of it on Google, but you get the drug busts and gang arrest stories.

If I recall correctly, this poll was published some time after Bush's speech on "immigration reform" last year.

Conservatives who oppose his de facto amnesty are by far the majority.

Your infamous as well as MSM to blur immigration with illegal immigration. And although a moratorium on immigration may be feasible to sort this out. To you dismay, I don't wish to see a stop to immigration. Only the ILLEGAL kind.

Hispanics can't be driven into the arms of Democrats; they're already there.

You're either joking or delusional. I suspect it's the latter.

Of course the President is opposed to amnesty and has never proposed it but why lets facts get in the way of a good rant?

Sure he is.

Houston is 40% Hispanic and has one of the largest concentrations of illegal aliens.

We had a gang problem in the 80s but we got it under control with good police activity. Gangs will always exist in poor neighborhoods but they are insignificant in Houston now.

If you have a gang problem don't let your local politicians scapegoat immigrants.

Gangs are a crime problem, not an immigration issue, and should be addressed as a crime problem, not debated as an immigration issue.

You aren't a Republican are you? Are you one of those third party type who want the Republican Party to collapse because you think that all the Republicans would then join your party?

Some examples:

In Los Angeles, 95 percent of all outstanding warrants for homicide (which total 1,200 to 1,500) target illegal aliens. Up to two-thirds of all fugitive felony warrants (17,000) are for illegal aliens.

A confidential California Department of Justice study reported in 1995 that 60 percent of the 20,000-strong 18th Street Gang in southern California is illegal; police officers say the proportion is actually much greater. The bloody gang collaborates with the Mexican Mafia, the dominant force in California prisons, on complex drug-distribution schemes, extortion, and drive-by assassinations, and commits an assault or robbery every day in L.A. County. The gang has grown dramatically over the last two decades by recruiting recently arrived youngsters, most of them illegal, from Central America and Mexico.

I'm "infamous"? ME? I'm like the MSM,when it is YOU who don't know that illegals pour into America hourly,in planes and ships of all kinds? And where did you get ever get the idiotic idea that I'm against LEGAL immigration?

There are thousands upon thousands of illegal Russian and Chinese GANSTERS/HOODS/CRIMINALAS here illegally; Arabs too and Pakistanis and Nigerians and Irish ones too...not a one of whom got here through the southern or northern borders of the USA!They came here on planes and in ships!

It really hurts your position,MIGHTILY,not knowing very much about the topic you so fervently want to harangue others about.
