Note the album about to be burned is Utopia's album and so on and so on and so on and so on and so on and so on (BTW, the flame near the boy holding the album looks like a rather buxom flame)

For some reason, that reminds me of Disco Demolition at Comiskey Park...

Cheech and Chong's Wedding Album ranks as one of the worst album designs

Awesome graphics. Let's go over some of the professional techniques employed in the Marc Frana Band album:

1) Obvious question: Where's the band? Answer: Marc don't need no stinkin band!
2) Lighting to produce desired reflective effect on glasses
3) Wood paneling backdrop to give us the chic 1960s outdoors feel.
4) Accordions set up to look like duct taped boxes on carpeted stand.
5) Border graphic is exceptional.
6) Title of album persuades potential listener that he damn well better buy this album since HE DID ASK FOR IT. And you better finish that second helping of pie that you asked for too. There are starving children in Ethiopia

The scary thing is that there was a Volume 1 and a Volume 2.

Nor can we rule out the possibility of Volumes IV et sub.

The inspiration for The Partridge Family TV Show came from this family.
And they weren't above hawking products that had double meanings

For some reason, your screen name did not show up in the ping for #433. So here's some art school album covers

Bow Wow Wow
Dave Brubeck Quartet
The Beatles

Classic Monty Python album cover Matching Tie and Handkerchief.

The original Python LP included a Side 3. I remember my family and I would line up the needle to catch the groove on Side 2 that led to Side 3.

I LOVED Matching Tie! I was the only one of us that could find Groove 3!

OTOH, I discovered that if you spilled beer on the album cover of In Through The Out Door, it turned into having the characteristics of one of those coloring books where they had the watercolors embedded in the paper. You then "painted" with water. Only I spilled beer on my album cover. Somehow. I have NO idea how that happened... OK, I was almost eighteen.

In Through The Out Door (odd title) featured a great song that rarely got airplay after Bonham's death, Hot Dog--it was a rockabilly number. Zep had some strange album covers but none stranger (IMO) than Presence.
