The numbers are pretty bad even for the nationalists. I favor the nationalist cause in that war, but the slaughter they put on was close to the scale of slaughter seen in places like Cuba. It was really nasty.

Those are two VERY different things! Dr. Fukino should stick to medicine and not dabble in constitutional law. I don’t care if he was born in the Lincoln bedroom! Regardless of the merits in this case is, an important standard for me is that there be no double-standards. If Obama and the Democrats set a self-serving precedent, then I see little reason for Republicans to work to a higher standard.
