I also had difficulty with Waters being described as venerable.
You’ll feel better if you change it to venereal.
Maxine will soon have to swallow the bitter taste of “Executive Power.”
Wonder which will happen first with waters in charge of bank regulation: Will she go after President Trump, or will she become the country’s latest billionaire?
It will be interesting to see what kind of “cover” they generate to try and get at his tax-returns. It will be even more interesting when he says NO and forces them to go to court, via lawsuit. Because discovery works both ways.
“From referring to Waters as having a low-IQ to calling her crazy and corrupt, Trump has been non-stop in his verbal assaults against Waters, dishing out disrespect almost daily.”
“Congress has no authority to demand a presidents tax returns.”
Now, the Finance Committee MAY have the authority to demand to see any particular taxpayer’s return...but given that Trump has been thoroughly audited for many years running, I cannot imagine the issue about which they are investigating - except the issue of a pure political stunt. If Trump gets this information subpoenaed, he should resist...and, perhaps, someone at IRS might investigate Maxine and why she has a multi-million dollar mansion on a Congressional salary.
She and others should be careful what they wish for.
I don’t think for one second POTUS has something up his sleeve with regard to her (and others) corruption.
If there was anything incriminating in Trump’s tax filings, you can be sure a maggot at the IRS would have release it to the media.
My prediction is she will end up being removed from her post. She will likely be indicted before the end of her term. She is as crooked as you can get and has escaped prosecution for one reason and one reason only. My opinion is she will soon fail to have a seat when the music stops.
Indicted? Won’t happen.
Mad Maxine is a walking talking spitting ad for retroactive abortion.
See; sometimes abortion isn’t such a bad thing. The world would be a better place if this hag had been aborted.
I have to transcribe that committee's hearings. The thought of having to listen to her at all, in particular if she's the chairman, is painful.
She can say foty fi. But I doubt she can count that far.
...The thought of having to listen to her at all, in particular if she’s the chairman, is painful.
My most abject condolences
I welcome Maxine’s investigations. They are the best way for her to waste the Democrat’s time. She could otherwise do things that would be problematic.

Trump should tell the Commissioner of the IRS not to furnish his tax return.
Congress only has access for “necessary and proper” purposes, not for partisan political reasons.
Trump should assert, via his lawyers, his Amendment IV rights to the Commissioner in advance.
I agree with you. The simple fact that the Dems have been after his returns ever since he declared in 2015 (and not one second before then) speaks to the purely political nature of this “request.”
No one gives up their Constitutional rights just because they become President. He is no less a citizen than any of us, and WE would fight a public release of our returns.
Perhaps the Republican Congress should pass a law barring access to federal Constitutional officers’ federal tax returns except by IRS employees.
