The Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board estimates that just 3% of Washington’s cannabis shops are majority Black owned, while Seattle doesn’t have any that fit that description. While former Sonics star Shawn Kemp is the namesake of a recently-opened shop in Seattle, he only owns a 5% stake in the business.
Mosqueda further pointed out that communities of color were disproportionately targeted for marijuana-related arrests prior to legalization, despite roughly equal levels of use among all racial demographics. After marijuana was legalized, “Black people were largely left out of ownership opportunities,” she noted.
In San Francisco, newly-registered cannabis firms are required to submit a plan detailing their commitment toward diversity goals. Sacramento has “explicit hiring requirements” baked into an incubator program, mandating that 30% of a firm’s workforce be “comprised of equity-eligible employees
“We need reform, redistribution, and restoration,” she proposed

Light up another and you’ll catch my drift, it’s dialectic. This is what you’ll probably hear as discussion in Seattle City Council. The only equitable Seattle solution is for the rich whitey owners to give the dope to the blacks they’ve been economically oppressing with their dope.
That state is crazy. Noone but these nut-jobs care what color the shop owner is or employees are. You’re there for some flower diversity, not the human kind.

Our liberal loving Canadian “friends” and their liberal sons & families all moved to Seattle some years ago....gee...actions have consequences. They have dual citizenship...of which I think we should rid this country.
Sounds like the government of WA state has been systemically denying business licenses to black people. Why else would this horrific disparity exist?
Find the politicians and bureaucrats responsible for this and freeze their bank accounts, bust their mortgages, dox them down to their fifth cousins, tattoo ‘racist’ on their foreheads and lock them out of all social media platforms.
But the marijuana industry in New York and Chicago has the opposite ownership profile.
How did they do that?
