I don't know if this has been posted yet. I found this picture rather interesting especially considering all the flags that were thrown away.

Two things offensive in this picture. Obviously the flag on the floor is a problem and when I look at the shot of Michelle I think of that term that is very offensive to Commissioner John Wiley Price.
Would you ever let your flag touch the ground!
“I found this picture rather interesting especially considering all the flags that were thrown away.”
I saw the photos of real trash in garbage bags, which were being thrown away after the DNC convention. And mixed in with the real trash were a few small American flags which obviously had been waved by persons in the audience.
And of course there were the photos of a very large number of UNUSED flags — that is, the flags were rolled up and packed together; obviously these flags had not been unrolled and waved. Those new and unused flags also were in garbage bags, ready to be collected by the vendors who were collecting all of the garbage bags to be hauled off. It was a vendor who alerted the RNC about the unused flags.
So, the question I have: Did the DNC buy those flags to distribute to the delegates to be used during the convention — but then decided NOT TO USE THEM? That should be the question.
I didn’t watch very much of the DNC convention. Was there ever a time when the delegates waved small American flags? I don’t recall seeing many American flags at their event.
Can anyone shed any light?
I'm not exactly sure what this means. I have a couple of patriotic shirts. Is any shirt with the colors red, white and blue a "flag" how about if it has stars? Stripes? When does it become a "flag"?
Posted previously powerful picture.
“We were taught from the first day of school how to handle a flag and especially that it should never be allowed to touch the floor or ground.”
The flag should NEVER touch the ground!
Anyone who sees someone deliberately mistreating a flag should call them on it.
If it’s accidental the mishap should be brought to their attention.
To many people have died fighting for what that flag represents — I won’t see it disrespected.
People don’t have to know a lot of elaborate codes of conduct, but the flag shouldn’t be treated as if it’s just a piece of cloth.

It’s easy, in general liberals hate the United States flag and what it stands for.
“Perhaps Jesse Jackson got to him and made the Obama cut.”
LOL!
STE=Q
Yeah, that is very careless of him but in the long run isn’t going to have traction, IMO.
If I was going to stake my whole fight on a single issue it sure wouldn’t be this one.
At least one of those "very clean" bags of trash contained a flag plus a dirty paper plate and plastic fork.
Being "Progressive" means having more respect for the koran then The Bible or the U.S. flag.
Who said anything about staking the whole fight on a single issue. Do you stake an entire fist fight on one punch?
They're on the ropes, let's hit them with everything we've got!
Let me make it simple for a lib that will never get it
Treat the flag like it had value to you .. like money, or your stash
‘Being “Progressive” means having more respect for the PSEUDO-koran then The Bible or the U.S. flag.’
There. Specified it.
Most of what you see now is people with the flag on the car. Whether an actual “flag” banner, or a sticker/magnet, the flag is meant to be toward the front of the car, never the back.
I hate to say it, but I really hate our erstwhile local FD which had a truck with a full-size US flag mounted on the very back of 1 of the big trucks, flapping around like crazy when driven. Hitting dirty equipment on the truck, catching plenty of emissions, and perilously close to breaking the “pole” when at speed.
Also saw a Joe Schmoe around here with the same thing with his regular P/U truck.
I know they mean well, but it’s a “pet peeve” of mine - big time! LOL
also, the bottle under his chair isnt there anymore it seems. if he reached for it hed have seen the flag in that condition.
Oh, no, absolutely not! I am thinking of of people who take a flag and wear it is a bandanna. I think it’s great when real clothing has a patriotic theme, even if it looks a lot like a flag. I would draw the line though at taking an actual flag and cutting it up to be sewn into a shirt or something. Sorry if I wasn’t clear on that. Gettin’ old and I’m used to my wife reading my mind to know what I’m talking about or what I mean! It takes the two of us now to complete a simple conversation.
This isn’t an issue that will resonate with swing or undecided voters, therefore, politically, it is a waste if your personal indignation.
If half the country thinks it is ok to kill a fetus out of the ‘mother’s’ convenience then they’re not going to get upset about a flag on the carpet.
Ali used to bait opponents by falling back on the ropes and letting them wear themselves out on him; Rope-a-Dope he called it.
Could happen again by trying for a knock out prematurely.
