Book Review: Ann Coulter's "Guilty"
Patriot Room ^ | 1-31-09 | Scott Martin

Ann Coulter's latest attack on liberalism and the people who practice it, Guilty: Liberal "Victims" and their Assault on America, currently sits at second place on the New York Times Best-Seller List, and deservedly so. One chapter alone, Coulter's searing appraisal of the destruction caused by liberals who have elevated single-motherhood into an acceptable and honorable personal choice in America, should be read by all who care about the future prosperity of this country.

Coulter exposes various phony victims and the liberals who exploit them throughout the book, writing about those who "viciously attack everyone else, while wailing that they are the victims."

Here are some of her targets:

-- The biggest myth of all "is the myth that there is no liberal media, functioning as a protection racket for liberal politicians from JFK to B. Hussein Obama." Coulter shows that there is no meaningful Republican Attack Machine, nor a Democrat Attack Machine, but a media who reports Democrat attacks while ignoring Republicans who simply point out the truth about Democrats.

-- Liberals hysterical references to the Republican Attack Machine: "Throughout the Thirty- Years'-War Democratic primary campaign, circa 2007-2008, all Democratic arguments were pitched in terms of the nonexistent, but still very frightening, Republican Attack Machine. . .Really, I have no problem with Obama being a Muslim -- but wait until Republicans get ahold of it!. . .Republicans could only watch in perplexity, thinking, Wait a minute! We didn't say anything!

-- The media treatment of Sarah Palin: "The head of the South Carolina Democratic Party, Carol Fowler, said Palin's "primary qualification seems to be that she hasn't had an abortion." By contrast, Democrats believe that having had an abortion is the primary qualification for higher office."

This is her best book yet. I have a stack of most of her tomes clearly displayed in my living room, as fair warning to my guests. LOL!

When the paperpback version comes out... could you have the publishers put the “Single Mother” Chapter in the BAck of the book.. I’d like to see Joy Bahar’s Head Explode when she finally gets to Chapter TWO.

I agree. The only problem I had, and it’s a small one, is that she goes into such detail with her proofs that it gets old sometimes and I want her to move on. But when she does, whatever is coming next is always worth it.

After the MSM gets away with distortions, omissions, innuendo and stone cold lying, a little citational overkill is necessary, even salutory.

Get her books on tape (CD). She narrates them and they are unabridged.
