The Senate is set to vote Saturday night, right before the holiday, on a motion to proceed on its latest health care government take-over bill. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is pushing for yet another weekend vote (commonplace now for the party of transparency) because he knows that the American people will be none too happy about the Democrats proposal the longer they have to look it over.
A vote against the Democrats motion will help stop Obamacare before it gets any closer to becoming a reality. While this Saturday night vote might seem like a procedural matter, at the end of the day a vote against Senator Reids motion is a vote against massive new government spending and a take-over of 1/6th of the U.S. economy; its a vote against billions in tax increases and penalties; its a vote against federal funding of abortion; and its a vote against ignoring responsible tort reform. etc......
Just caught Mary(I can be bought)Landrieu at the mike. She actually said she didn’t get 100 million for her vote... it cost 300 million. She was very proud of herself.
Why has Sarah not called out senators that she will campaign against next year if this passes?
She could do so much more.
Sickening.
Wonder why my Senator did not get anything.
Seriously what do you want her to do. She has done all she can. She is just like the rest of us, do you think the Dems or Republicans in Congress will say “WOW Sarah Palin doesn’t want this to pass, we should listen to her” come on, they dont give a rats behind about us just like they would never listen to her. She has already said all she has to say, and we have already said all we have to say. They dont care about us, they just want to expand Government and turn us into Europe
I agree, you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make them drink.
You’re putting an awful lot on Sarah Palin. Lincoln didn’t say this is a country “of the Palin, by the Palin and for the Palin.”
My Senators are idiots (Feinstein, Boxer)as is my congressman,(Waxman) but I did send them emails to voice my opinion all the same.
“Our side” will not even stand up and deliver like Jimmy Stewart did in the movie. If they were physically to hold the floor, they could call for a quorum vote in the middle of the night, and some Democrats could not make it to the floor. Byrd could not, for one. The refusal of our side to do what they can do is what the other side can always count on. These gentlemen are willing to piss way our republic just so not one will say they are mean-spirited. I guess they thing: I got mine. Be sure that Neither of my senators wants to wrinkle their toney clothes.
Specter’s line busy all day - I’m sure it’s off the hook. Cretins, all of them.
I’m sure you called the Huckster and asked him what he has done on behalf of the people in Arkansas to stop their Senators from voting for this bill.

Dear Governor Perry,
On March 30, 2009 the Texas House of Representatives passed HCR 50 affirming that the State of Texas claims sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment.
You have publicly supported this bill, and stated that attorney generals from all over the union could be getting ready to sue the US Government.
We are asking you to take the lead.
We are asking you to order the Texas Attorney General to publicly begin working on a law suit under Article IV, Ninth, and Tenth Amendment of the Constitution.
We are asking you to protect the citizens of Texas that we will not stand for government controlled healthcare in our state.
Under your leadership we can effectively kill the proposal of this administration and allow Texas to be a state free from socialism and collectivism.
Be the voice of reason in the national debate and allow Texans the ability to solve the problems of our state.
Thank you,

Facts about the 10th Amendment:
The Tenth Amendment (Amendment X) of the United States Constitution, which is part of the Bill of Rights, was ratified on December 15, 1791. The Tenth Amendment restates the Constitutions principle of Federalism by providing that powers not granted to the national government nor prohibited to the states are reserved to the states or the people.
HCR 50 HAS PASSED THE HOUSE 99-36!
Affirming that the State of Texas claims sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government by the U.S. Constitution, serving notice to the federal government to cease and desist certain mandates, and providing that certain federal legislation be prohibited or repealed.
Take Action! Before it is too late!

REMEMBER THIS,TEXANS:
Feds Have Built Only 32 Miles of 700 Mile Double-Border Fence Originally Mandated by Congress
One reason DHS has been able to do this is an amendment that Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R.-Texas) slipped into an omnibus appropriations bill that Congress passed on December 18, 2007. Hutchisons amendment put a loophole in the fence law that allowed the secretary of Homeland Security not to build the fence Congress had mandated the year before.
