Mark the date, On November 30th 2009, Little Green Footballs officially Died. The site has officially changed from being a Conservative to a Liberal Site. There were always rumors that Charles was really a liberal who was faking his political philosophy just to make a buck, but they were so hard to believe, he was a passionate conservative, so believable.
But in the end Little Green Footballs died from a long drawn-out illness called supporter-cide. Charles Johnson the man behind LGF decided to ban every single one of his supporters. It was painful to watch.

He’s bought the Global Warming scam hook, line and sinker. He even uses rhetorical devices not found in the scientific method to smear those who do not believe what he believes by comparing them to Nazi’s (deniers).
Either that or a liberal chick got to him.
I blame California.
In the end Charles began to believe his own clippings. He became too self-important and stopped allowing anyone to disagree with him on his site.
Maybe he can make it as a cycling blogger. :)

LGF has become cult, with a group of sycophantic posters who provide the cult leader with unending agreement and unending praise. Only the slightest deviation from the accepted cult beliefs is tolerated, and the axe can fall quickly on any who express disagreement. Their little + and - feature where one can approve or disapprove of any comment posted reminds me of the old thumbs up and thumbs down at the Roman Coliseum events, or sort of a different twist on the blackballing rituals used by other narrow, insular groups.
I was one of the earliest readers in early 2002, and a fairly frequent poster until about three years ago when the purges began for various reasons. Still registered, but just gradually drifted away as the site began it’s transition to what it has now become.

Comparing Charles with his 3 readers to talk show hosts that have multiple millions of listeners is pretty thin.

Yeah, you're 'Just sayin' a lot of BS. There is more disagreement on one of Rush's or Sean's shows than is allowed at LFG in a month. The place has become a cult, and I watched the transition since early 2002.
And, LFG once celebrated a mention of the site from Rush, with the immediate surge of several thousand visitors. But now Rush is on the unacceptable list.
This guy was ALWAYS a leftist. He got caught up in the fashionable post-9/11 fear/war-mongering generally associated with the GOP. He was all about the War on Terror, and everything else failed to even merit second-issue status.
Finally, after almost of a decade of riding the WoT issue astride a similarly obsessed GOP, a political shifting of the winds back toward domestic issues merely revealed the fundamental dissimilarity between the neoconservative philosophy (an outgrowth of socialist thought with explicit nationalistic and militaristic elements) LGF embodied and the conservative-classical liberal synthesis.
