“She Wore a Yellow Ribbon.” The scene in the post’s graveyard where Capt. Nathan Brittles (John Wayne) talks to his late wife, and later, when Capt. Brittles receives the retirement watch from his cavalry troop.

Speaking of Pixar movies, “Toy Story 2” always gets me in the part where they play Sarah MacLachlan’s “When She Loved Me.” I just can’t figure it out, I mean it’s only about a doll, but dangit, I still get that darned lump in my throat every time.

I hear a lot of men cried when Thelma and Louise drove that convertible off the cliff.

I agree. I would add if their child or grandchild dies, I guess that would be a funeral.

LOL - Um, no. I did cheer when Khan bought it at the end though. I knew they’d bring Spock back, so no need to shed a tear.

You just reminded me of another one which made me tear up just a little.

“The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence” when Jimmy Stewart returns as an old Senator and John Wayne who loved Stewart’s Wife is dead.

For some reason I can’t recall the character’s names.

I vote for Jesus of Nazareth as shown on TV. When Jesus tells the parable of the prodigal son thus reconciling two bitter enemies, well that tears me up. Also from the same show, when he raises Lazarus from the dead, makes my eyes wet.

Who the %$#^ made up this list????????????

The only movie that consistently gets me to cry is Armegeddon when the father comes back from blowing up the asteroid and his little boy runs up to greet him.

Inexplicable, I know. Usually I have great taste in flicks.

Saw 9 out of 10. Don't remember crying at any of them.

Hell, we cheered at the ending of The Wrath of Khan, although not at that scene, which was expected. That was when they knew how to write a movie first and not "just a Trek film".

To redeem myself, I must bring up the HBO film “Taking Chance” with Kevin Bacon. It’s about a Marine officer escorting a fallen Marine back home. Tears streamed down my face from beginning to end.

Copy that on “The Passion of the Christ.”

Also chocked up when “Jimmy” gets napalmed in “We Were Soldiers.” I’ve visited that location on the Wall several times... Gets me every time.

I have had Katyn for a while and haven’t had a chance to open it. Should I prioritize it?
