Let’s be clear on this. The way the Republicans acted since they got control of the whole government, they did not deserve to be re-elected. Sure, they acted with principle when it had virtually no effect in the health care fiasco, but,by making themselves unworthy of re-election in 2006 and 2008, they are as much to blame as the Democrats and the voters for what happened yesterday.

Do you think we were supposed to permit the Republicans to continue to do their earmarking, expand entitlements, trash the first amendment, just because they were on the right side of the aisle?

OK, I voted Republican in the last two elections, only to vote against the Democrats, but I did so holding my nose, and I can understand the concerns of those for whom holding their noses could not keep out the stench.

If Dems promise socialism, the GOP promises better and cheaper socialism, and slower route to get there. so, yes they are different, but is it really a difference, that in the long run, actually makes a difference?

A quicker fall from grace is easier to recover from than a slow plodding pace towards oblivion.

Half tempted to run in my local district as a “Democrat” who is commited to push through as much crap to hasten the fall so we can get started on re-building quickly.
