TEA PARTY FUTURE: LESS GLAMOUR, MORE EFFECTIVE

In his Washington Examiner column, Glenn Reynolds of Instapundit writes about the future of the Tea Party movement. Reynolds explains where the real work is being accomplished. Reynolds attended the April 15 Cincinnati TP rally:

For starters, the so-called “tea party” should stop endorsing candidates.

Espousing ideals are one thing. Endorsing jagov stuffed suits is a whole ‘nother thing.

Nothing will cause the Tea Party to fizzle faster than making it another special interest / lobbying group or another unworthwhile NGO.

But I’m sure it’ll go that route, and it’ll be another Republican owned “great idea” that never went anywhere.
