Let the spin begin, Paul Begala on a late night CNN discussion of the election results says it was a good night for Obama and the Dems (Video)

Begala is right that it was a good night for Obama. Specter lost. Specter will now get what Obama promised him: to be a judge on American Idol and Dancing With The Stars.
If the Dems lost both houses of congress in Nov. the Begalas and Carvilles of the world would attempt to spin it as a victory.
Specter got whupped?
Ha ha!
“Oceania has always been at war with Eastasia.”
Absolutely!!!
[Yo, Benedict Arlen, how's that "change" workin' out fer ya?]
*guffaw!*
[if Alan Colmes sat beside him, you could run a double feature]
The only Democrat to beat a Republican walked into a polling place and then had the oooos to claim he wasn’t electioneering. At least the Dems are consistent: Break the law and then say you didn’t. No nightsticks this time, at least.
If you look at the returns I saw in the district, Democrats polled 2 to 1 against Republicans in the Senate races. Concededly, there was no real contest in the Toomey race so it is understandable that Republicans sat it out. But in the context of a cresting wave of indignation rolling across the country inspiring the electorate to turn out the Democrats, the result in the 12th Congressional District is disquieting at best.
I have heard nothing to the effect that Burns was a bad candidate or that he failed to articulate a conservative message. If he is a good candidate who articulated a conservative message, what is the implication?
Paul Begalla is saying that the old Democrat formula worked again: play the Social Security card and get the lunch pail Democrats to vote their pocketbooks and let the devil take the hindmost. Damn the Republic, onward with entitlements. I find it particularly disquieting because one has to take note that a sizable proportion of the tea party patriots protesting healthcare and porkulus and other spending were doing so because they feared their Medicare might get trimmed. In other words, they were against spending on other people.
Paul Begalla is telling us nothing has changed
Well Jack murtha was the king of bringing slushy, pointless pork projects back to this land that time and logic forgot. It is a wee bit naive to expect a 2:1 democrat district to vote themselves off the gravy train.
Baghdad Bob, is that you?
I heard comments that Critz ran as a Republican, Pro NRA ,Anti Abortion ,sounds like the same old Democrat Playbook ,run as a Conservative Govern as A Communist
“Well, Mrs. Lincoln, other than that, how was the theater?”
You shouldn’t. I wouldn’t feel any sense of relief until the new Republican Controlled House is sworn in January 3rd or 4th
