President Obama, with his back-to-back statements on the proposed mosque at Ground Zero, has managed to get himself in a position where Sarah Palin has both the high ground and the practical route to progress. At the Iftar dinner at the White House, the president endorsed the constitutional rights of all religions in America to build houses of worship where they want to on private property. He spoke with his trademark eloquence, but he was off the point. So, as he toured the Gulf Coast, he took a powder, explaining that he was not commenting on what he called “the wisdom of making a decision to put a mosque there.” That was off point, too, enough so that the former Alaska governor finally took to her Facebook page:.....snip....Clearly there are a lot of questions to be sorted out in this affair. But one of them turns out to be this: How did one of the most intellectual presidents in history, a constitutional law professor with a government-provided staff of legal experts and policy geniuses and an ability, rarely if ever matched, to speak in lofty tones, manage to get himself in a position where he will end up following the lead of an ex-governor who has been constantly set down by the left as but a one-time beauty queen without brains and who has been watching the whole fracas from a lake-side camp at Alaska?

I’m not familiar with the Sun’s editorial lean, but is that last paragraph supposed to be sarcasm?
He was NOT a constitutional law professor! He was a part-time lecturer, IIRC. Even when they lightly criticize him, they stick to their lies about his resume!
That last paragraph is excellent. If you cannot answer the question(s) given those axioms (Obama = intellectual, Palin = stupid) then it is time to question the axioms.
Even the most ardent Obamist must feel a slight uncertainty when reading those lines.

At any given time, this cartoon president is either 1) boldly lying or 2) dramatically stating the conspicuously, universally-known obvious. There is nothing else from this clown.
He even lies when the truth would serve him better. Odd.

Obama was a no-account leftist robot in school and a no-account, small-time leftist community organizer thug before the religious left “found their messiah” and elevated him to his current position.
He is NOT an intellectual, and anybody who says he is (unless they do so with a heavy dollop of sarcasm) is a 14-carat idiot.

“.....a one-time beauty queen?” How sexist. I guess the RATS can’t stand the fact that Republican women have both beauty AND brains, whereas the democrat women are butt-ugly and clueless to boot.
And what’s this about a “lakeside camp?” The Palin family have a year round home on Lucille Lake in Wasilla, Alaska. They recently built a second home adjacent to their original home for additional space. Sounds like a put-down of rural folks, the back-bone of America.
I think it was meant as an “IN YOUR FACE” to the commie-libs. The “cinderella” figure, the “idiot stepchild” sitting in a fishing camp in Alaska is not only living rent-free in their heads; but she is running them around in circles and tying them in knots without lifting a finger! I think it’s hillarious! Go Sarah!
