JP Morgan Chase quickly became known as the scrooge of the banking industry when it ordered a Christmas tree removed from the lobby of the Chase bank in Southlake, TX (see article: JPMorgan Chase says Christmas tree offensive) but it appears that someone in corporate has had a change of heart regarding the removal of this holiday icon.
The Christmas tree was a gift from local businessman Antonio Morales because, as he told CBS 11 news: "I want the bank that I bank at to always have a beautiful tree."
After corporate caught wind of the structure, and claimed people found the Christmas tree to be offensive, instructions were to take it down - and Mr. Morales complied...

I don’t buy the excuse that some ppl will find it offensive. He’s only hiding the fact that he find it offensive
PC scares the weak minded stupid then the backlash scares them smart.
Happens a lot.
Why can’t they just skip stupid to save time?
Trim it in real silver ornaments!

You know, you bring up a good point.
Not gonna try that - but there is no reason to consciously do any business whatsoever with such an organization, period. Not because a Christmas tree is that important, but simply because it reflects a kind of corporate, institutionalized retardation. Given the severity of the economy and the banking chicanary in recent decades, and now this nonsense is still on the front burner?
They. Don’t. Get. It.
Minority rule.
A ‘few’ might be upset, so the majority are disenfranchised.
Although, that does not always work in reverse — if/when the majority might be upset, they get the shaft.
aside from Chirtianity, name any other set of beliefs that are so potentially “offensive” they must be scrupulously expunged from being expressed or acknowledged in our schools and public places?
(crickets)
Christianity. Spread it around.
We are all irritated by the foolishness of political correctness. However, as foolish as it is, those who promote it are deadly serious activists for the Marxist. In this case the intent is to drive Christianity from the public stage. Christian values are the foundation of our country and if they are going to destroy us they must first destroy our values.
I agree that corporate management, no matter the corporation, is weak in not standing up to this but if they don’t they are faced with public condemnation by the media and expensive lawsuits by the Marxist handmaidens, the ACLU and other activist lawyers. Our Marxist government is also apt to wreak havoc on them as revenge. Remember what Rahm Emanuel said? “Reward your friends and punish your enemies.” That is right out of the Marxist playbook.
Sooner or later we all have to take a stand against this PC foolishness just as the good people of Southlake did.
I understand all that, and more. I know exactly that they are worried about being sued, or whatever.
Time for them to decide, have already made my choice, and that is to never ever do business with weenies that roll over.
If they can’t stand a few complaints about a tree, then they are probably weak in all kinds of areas that count for more than just symbolism.
For the life of me, I can't understand how PC justifies and the general population supports the premise that it is alright to not offend a few by offending the many. Also, when did it become a 'Right' to not be offended?
