I happened to catch near the beginning of a commercial during the Super Bowl yesterday and was absolutely stunned in amazement. People were actually reciting the Declaration of Independence, one of the greatest founding documents of any nation in the world. Given the Super Bowl's world-wide reach and its large audience, whoever came up with this idea and then put action to it needs to be greatly praised.
Then they blow it with Aguilar screeching and wailing the national anthem, blowing the words.
That being said, I don't like blog-pimpers!
And they left out the history of repeated injuries and usurpations which would ring amazingly real to almost every American taxpayer who doesn't work for a government, most notably (IMHO):
He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people and eat out their substance. The Fox folks didn't read this part. I guess there wasn't enough time.

Worse than that, the Black-Eyed peas front man had to start a leftie political rant during the show.
The whole show was a “gag me” moment. I’m wondering what the total viewership of it was. What the fans thought of the show.
How inappropriate.
Ping for later
Glad I went and took a shower at half-time and missed the Black Eyed Pees - that way I didn’t feel the need for a shower after watching their crap.

They left that out because it is a sop.
The ruling class is beginning to understand what thin ice they stand on. This is an attempt to throw a sop to “the masses” at a bread and circuses event.
What is impressive is that they feel the need to do this.
There’s a column on ESPN by a guy named Jeff MacGregor that bashed the reading of the Declaration of Independance. He said that it was too much patriotism. What bothers me even more is that every comment so far is agreeing with him.
