Analysis: Why Jewish Building Infuriates the World
CBN ^

Tzippe Barrow sums it up in one sentence:

"They don't believe the Bible is the Word of God so they don't accept the validity of a Jewish homeland either."

Read it all!

This is the real root cause of all the hostility directed against Israel.

Even among some misguided Christians who have bought in to the lie of Supercessionist Replacement theology.

Accdg to Wikipedia: Supersessionism (also called fulfillment theology or replacement theology) is a Christian interpretation of New Testament claims, viewing God’s relationship with Christians as being either the “replacement” or “fulfillment” or “completion” of the promise made to the Jews (or Israelites) and Jewish Proselytes.

THIS:
During a condolence call at the home of Ruth Fogel’s parents on Sunday, their surviving granddaughter asked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, “Will America do anything to you?”

Turning to the newly orphaned 12 year old, Netanyahu said, “They [the Palestinian terrorists] murder; we build. We shall build our land.”
**********************************
IS CHILLING!!!
That this child would worry that AMERICA would punish Netanyahu for building on their own land!!! My G-d!

The Bible has nothing to do with it.

There's nothing about Mexico in any bible I know of, but somehow no one suggests that the Mexicans shouldn't have their own country; or the Germans. Heck, if the Germans were now denied sovereignty or even a right to breathe, it would make more sense.

Ever seen an Israeli flag?

It is the two blue bars on either side of the Star of David that causes the muzzies the most anxiety.

God gave the Hebrews the land between the two great rivers, Euphrates and the Nile.

Hence the term Zionism. The muzzies are all disturbed by the thought that these two blue bars represent the land between the two rivers.

Just sayin, these people are trespassing on Jewish homeland.

But even if you don't believe in the Bible there is still a pragmatic case for Israel - their are a very unique culture and need a country of their own. I'd like to see some other dispossessed people win their own countries, too, like the Kurds.

The Palestinians are basically a PR invention of the Arab League and KGB gone very, very bad. Palestinian = Arab. Same genetics, same language, same culture, same religion, same geography.

There is no reason that the huge Arab world, umpteen million square miles, 20+ nations, could not have taken in 2 million Palestinian refugees by now. America takes that many refugees every two years!!! Israel absorbed more Jews from the surrounding Arab countries than Palestinians who were displaced. You didn't see the Jews building refugee camps for them and fighting an endless propaganda and suicide bombing campaign against Syria, Iraq, or Libya or other countries that expelled all their Jewish citizens in 1948 (and confiscated their property).

So, even without resorting to metaphysics (which is always problematic in political conflicts) I believe there is ample reason to support Israel's existence as a nation.

“...fulfillment theology or replacement theology) is a Christian interpretation of New Testament claims...”

No, it isn’t.

Also, wikipedia is not always a reliable source for info.

Concerning replacement theology, the following link has good articles:

“The Bible has nothing to do with it.”

Strongly disagree.

The Scriptural accounts in the Bible that speak of God’s promise to the Jewish people, that He would draw them back, and re-establish them as a nation again in the land He gave them by Covenant, is well known.

What it says in our book is nice, but it wouldn't surprise me if other people didn't much care about this book.

Both Bible and the “pragmatic” are important and make the case for Israel.

Nations had better pay attention to Genesis 12:3 . Japan just told Israel not to build and look what happened to them.
