Tea party leaders in Surprise, Ariz., met with Arpaio and WND senior reporter Jerome Corsi Thursday morning to express concern that a fake birth certificate would be used to document the presidents eligibility to run in Maricopa County, where Arpaio is the chief law enforcement officer. Here we go. I can just see Sheriff Joe saying, "I'm goint to Hawaii to see the original. If I don't, he's not on the ballot in Maricopa County."

"I'm goint to Hawaii to see the original. If I don't, he's not on the ballot in Maricopa County." The problem with this is that (assuming we have an election in 2012 which I believe is seriously in doubt) legally Obama is not on any ballot anywhere. We vote for nameless "electors."

It might even be good enough to force other states to require proof as well. It's still not as good as if an entire state were taken out of play because of this.
