Lip reading is incredibly valid. Many deaf or partially deaf people use it to help them understand what is being said to them or around them.

Watch an NFL or college football game. There’s a reason coaches call plays with a clipboard in front of their mouths.

That is just dumb! That flag was tattered and shredded. I think they did a wonderful job considering it’s condition. This is the same woman and man who gave the Queen of England and I-pod and knew nothing about protocol to not touch the Queen, so I hardly think that she has brushed up on the nuances of flag folding military style!

Ok. Watched it about 100 times, and my eyes are tired. This is a video Rorschach test. You can set any number of words to those lip movements, and even the eye rolls. If I were to give her the benefit of the doubt, I'd say she was saying something about watching them folding the flag, how precise it is, and how difficult it must be, and she shakes her head and rolls her eyes in a sense to say, wow. Or it could be her ridiculing the whole thing. It all depends on your point of view. Since I can see both, and I cannot hear what she said, I'll leave it up in the air and withhold judgement.

Still can't stand the worshiping coverage the woman gets in the media, however.

Do you have a link? The footage I’ve seen here is a video taken from a TV screen, it sucks. You could be right about the NEWER flag part. Like I said, you can read a lot into it...

No, nobody is reading too much into this, THAT is the real MO. You have to understand, she needed to get home and have her makeup artists re-do that hideous face for the party that night. Also she has more important things on her mind like buying clothes for their trips to Hawaii, Australia and Bali in November and Hawaii in December.
