At that point read Michelle’s big lips as she leans over to Obama and says “ALL THIS FOR A FLAG” and then shakes her head side to side in disapproval while Obama nods his approval of her statement.

Agree. I'm a little hard of hearing and I find myself at times reading lips just to verify what I think I'm hearing I suppose. Her expression could say any number of things, one of which could be bewilderment at how some people could treat our flag with such respect -- nor not. ;^)
As kickass Conservative pointed out, Rush Limbaugh can read lips. We'll see if he picks it up tomorrow.

Given that her 'somber' seems to ooze hate; thought she might be doing a silent, mean voo-doo mantra, yesterday, as she walked beside her husband; and with the Bushes, on this now, sacred ground.
Anyway; must be more than a few lip readers 'out there' who could agree, as to what escaped Michelle's - beyond "flag" - while synching with her 'eye roll'. And to what Mr. "Arrogance Walking" appeared to agree with.
I believe she is saying: “The way they fold that flag....” and is in awe, not disgust.
I think she is saying that because she is impressed, as anyone would be. I think I read (obviously I’m not an expert on this sort of thing and was never in the military nor have I ever been to a military funeral) they fold the flag into 13 sections and it is done according to strict protocol.
This is an unfair attack on Mrs. Obama. Move on.

the reason is that if you have ever been to a military funeral, the flag folding is carried out flawlessly with great detail in handling. The gentlemen who folded that flag did not do nearly as well as the military burial detail and that is what she was commenting about.
she probably said ‘look how they fold the flag”. You can clearly make out the word “fold”. GROW UP!
