Wisconsin Republican Governor Scott Walker
The signatures of Adolf Hitler and Mickey Mouse will be counted in the effort to recall Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, so long as they are properly dated and bear a Wisconsin address.
The Government Accountability Board reviewing the petitions unanimously approved a plan that would allow questionable names to be counted if they are signed within the circulation dates and have a proper address, WISN Milwaukees Channel 12 is reporting. According to the ABC affiliate, the suspicious names will be noted as such, but will not be eliminated without a challenge.
All signatures are given the basic presumption of validity, said petition reviewer co-team leader Katie Mueller before the board. So it may not be eliminated due to the fact that this is a valid signature on face value.
We may certainly note fictitious names if

Unreal. Thanks for the heads up on this one, Nachum...

Why?
You gotta problem wid dat? YOU GOTTA PROBLEM WID DAT?!! /sarc

All they're saying is that they've not going to unlaterally strike off suspicious names, which inevitably would have a subjective component to it. Presumably, the other side will have the opportunity to review the petitions and issue such challenges if appropriate. I can see why some people don't like that, but I can also see why that's a reasonable solution.
They are both most likely aligned with the Communist Party
Maybe if we just asked Democrats to stop, they would ?
Maybe ? Maybe ?
Didn’t think so. So it escalates. Into a court. In that court, we present fact and truth, they present pleas and insults. Maybe we can win ?
No ?
Oookay then... whats next ? Whos got some rope ?
Mickey Mouse-kavitch?
Why can’t this work to our advantage? What’s good for the goose . . . .
PING.
Rumors have it that any Wisconsin address and ZIP code will work, including that of businesses and random addresses (EG 123 Easy street, Madison WI 53706- Note that 53706 is the Zip code for the University of Wisconsin Madison, and there is not such a thing as 123 easy street in that area). It will be up to the GOP to verify that the address is legit. That includes out of state addresses as well.
And, the ACLU is trying to prevent Wisconsin from enforcing a law requiring citizens to present ID when voting. The IDs with Mickey Mouse and Adolph Hitler may not exist after all... What’s a leftie to do?
Unless you’re voting Republican.
Maybe it’s because we don’t expect the GOP to challenge, based on their previous behavior.
What could go wrong? /s
Won’t somebody like Jay Sekulow sue them?
It’s not a reasonable solution at all. Only a small number of the fraudulent signatures will be asinine ones like Mickey Mouse. Most will look legitimate and will not be challenged under this rubric.
We need to get volunteers out there to check the signatures more carefully.
Send money to Scott Walker if you can. Don’t let U. of Wisconsin dopeheads and other miscreants win this away from Walker.
Thanks for the ping. People are not as aware of this as they should be. I was at a tea party meeting and someone mentioned Scott Walker and a TEA PARTIER had obviously never heard of him and had him confused with Scott Brown. You get all levels of awareness at these meetings but I made my point.
OWS at the Waldorf today protesting Romney. Good.
I agree, but I don't see your point. The article is about not tossing suspicious names, which has absolutely nothing to do with the point you raise about names that are not suspicious. That's a different issue that the article doesn't even discuss.
