The mother of the Nashville school shooter who killed six people – including three 9-year-olds – appeared to be a gun control activist who once urged friends on Facebook to sign a petition calling to keep firearms out of schools. “So important!” Norma Hale wrote in a March 8, 2018 Facebook post as she shared the petition that stated “Keep Guns Out of School” that appeared to be from the Sandy Hook Promise Foundation.

Ald. Brian Hopkins (2nd) abandoned plans to try and knock Mayor Lori Lightfoot off the ballot — even after uncovering a “pattern of fraud” that suggested she may not have the 12,500 valid signatures required by law. After a “cursory review” of all of the 40,000 signatures that Lightfoot filed and getting “into a secondary” review to see if those signatures match the signatures of those voters, Hopkins said he “got it down to about 17,500 signatures” when he “ran out of time.” “Had we had a couple more weeks, there is a clear pattern of fraud. We might have...

Fellow American, Socialism has failed everywhere it has been attempted because it takes power away from the people and gives government control over every aspect of your life. This past year we have seen the left trying to sell these destructive ideas as “fashionable”. They support 70% tax rates, elimination of private health insurance, “Free College,” and end to cars and industries that run on non-renewable energy and trillions more in new spending As U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, I witnessed failed socialist regimes firsthand from places like Venezuela and Cuba. Americans rejected socialism on Election Day. Because they...

The White House made good on plans to reopen its online petition site by the end of January, relaunching the platform minutes before midnight Wednesday. Many doubted the administration would stick to quick turnaround plans for the site, which was taken offline “for maintenance” in December as part of a vendor change projected to save $1.3 million annually. The petition platform — hosted at petitions.whitehouse.gov — relaunched under its original name, “We the People,” with all 17 Trump-era petitions that cleared a 100,000-signature threshold for an official response restored.

This is in the category of know what the enemy is doing. It comes with a very high BARF ALERT! Thousands of petitions - some of them: Electoral College: Make Hillary Clinton President. Prosecute Trump for illegal offenses before the Dec. 19 Electoral College Vote. Impeach Donald J. Trump

UPDATE: As of 6:30PM Central Time the Associated Press is reporting that Trump has won Arizona. This would make it impossible for Hillary Clinton to qualify for the Presidency with pledged Electoral College votes, as Donald Trump has exceeded the 270 votes needed to win. Note: The Arizona results have not yet been certified. As AP analyst Michael McDonald notes, “just because the media calls something does not mean that that’s actually the outcome of the election.” Note: Elements of the Democrat Party have not given up. There is a concerted effort, as reported below, to convince Republican-pledged Electoral College...

Meanwhile, is it only British MPs who would carry on with a debate over a full-blown Tempest in a Teapot? Things are so jolly for the masses in England that their MPs are taking time to debate a government-sponsored petition calling for American presidential hopeful Donald Trump to be excluded from the UK. MPs will discuss the call for the Tempest-in-Teapot Trump ban in the usually more august Westminster Hall come January 18. British politicians whose sensibilities have been highly offended all because Trump noted ‘Britain’s Muslim problems’, are somewhat akin to the sheriffs in old Western movies, who ordered...

Warning - A petition worker came by yesterday to ask for our signatures and knew everyone's name in the household. We declined to sign. Later, Mr. b overheard one of the workers asking the other what happens if no one signs the petition. The guy told him that they write in the signatures themselves. Mr. b reported it to the elections office and to someone else in the courthouse. We'll wait until the petition is turned and to see if our names are on it and then report it to the county attorney. Please be aware of this practice in...

AZ Gov Jan Obrewer jammed through this unfunded expansion of Medicaid by a parliamentary trick with the help of the Rats and some turncoat Republicans. This is an important issue that will cost the taxpayers $billions. Arizona state law allows citizens to petition to put a law on the ballot for an up or down vote. You can download the petition from the website.

The Obama administration on Friday responded to the wave of secession petitions that spread online following the November election, preaching unity over division and saying there’s no right to secede. “In a nation of 300 million people — each with their own set of deeply-held beliefs — democracy can be noisy and controversial. And that’s a good thing. Free and open debate is what makes this country work, and many people around the world risk their lives every day for the liberties we often take for granted,” wrote Jon Carson, director of the Office of Public Engagement. “But as much...

Now that disaffected Americans in all 50 states have petitioned the Obama administration for the right to secede from the United States, the door is open for far more important petitions — like a request to have a catered pizza party once Missouri strikes out on its own. (RELATED: White House ‘secede’ petitions reach 675,000 signatures, 50-state participation) Is it funnier that real people actually submitted these ten proposals to the White House, or that the administration has only removed two of them fr0m public view? You tell us. And if you actually sign any of these, you have no...

ANNAPOLIS — Organizers of a petition against Maryland’s same-sex marriage law have collected enough valid voter signatures to send the law to a November referendum, state election officials said Thursday. The state Board of Elections announced that local elections boards have verified 70,039 signatures on the petition to force a statewide vote on the law — exceeding the 55,736 signatures that were required to be turned in by June 30. The Maryland Marriage Alliance has led the petition effort against the law, which was passed in February by the General Assembly. The group says it submitted more than 122,000 signatures...

Petitions circulating in Houston seek fall ballot propositions to mandate that police check the immigration status of detainees and that city contractors check the immigration status of all employees. The group called Stop the Magnet has been circulating the petitions for about six weeks, said communications director Maria Martinez. The group needs the signatures of about 20,000 registered voters on each petition to qualify them for the November ballot.

MADISON — A little advice for those who want to pop in and observe the recall petition review: Stay home and watch it on television. Only staff members and temporary employees of the Government Accountability Board, or GAB, which oversees state elections and campaigns, will be permitted in an at-present undisclosed location. And speaking of temp jobs, the board has had a hard time filling the petition review positions, mainly because too many prospective employment candidates have signed recall petitions targeting Gov. Scott Walker and Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch. GAB employees Thursday continued scanning some 1.9 million signatures, after having...

The premise sounds captivating. Coming to you live from a secret government facility in Madison! The reality was less riveting as the state verification of recall documents, captured in real time on a webcam, began in earnest Wednesday. People across the country can watch the scanning of 309,661 pages of signatures for a recall of Gov. Scott Walker and five other Republican elected officials on laptops or iPhones atgab.wi.gov. It is the only viewing option. For now, the location of the processing site is not being disclosed to the public nor the media, and no one from the public or...

Madison - State elections officials plan to enter the names of all those who sign recall petitions into a new database - a policy that will add to taxpayer costs and delay until summer when any recall elections would be held. The decision, announced Thursday, comes after a ruling last week by Waukesha County Circuit Judge J. Mac Davis that said the state Government Accountability Board must take steps to search for duplicate names and fictitious names as it reviews petitions to recall Gov. Scott Walker that are expected to be filed next week. "It is a time-consuming and very...

DES MOINES — Virginia’s attorney general said on Saturday that he will propose emergency legislation to change the state’s ballot access laws in ways that would make it easier for candidates to qualify. The legislation would allow any presidential candidate to appear on the ballot for the state’s March 6 primary if they meet the requirements to qualify for federal matching funds. That would likely allow Newt Gingrich and Rick Perry to participate in the primary after both failed to gather the required signatures under Virginia’s current standards. “Recent events have underscored that our system is deficient. Virginia owes her...
