Might I ask you what prompted you to check in on this old thread? I was having a discussion related to analyzing old writing for authorship, and this letter written by "Publius" immediately came to mind.

Every thread is checked daily. If the Title is of interest, naturally it is read. With the buzz words of “Newly Revealed Evidence-Madison Admin Req. Citizen Parents - Native-Born Persons - U.S. Citizenship.” and feeling as I do about how we’ve been duped for years on end, OF COURSE this thread was read and noted to others. Failed to realize the original article appeared in 2011, your reply of yesterday placed the thread as one listed in the threads of 9/21/17
In doing so, and, now, your question, perhaps I’ve made light on something some would rather remain in the shadows. If so, do apologize, but this should be considered by all Americans as a monumental threat to our nation. That ANYONE can walk in, make a claim, and run for the highest office in the land.
Having followed Natural Born Citizen during the dark time of BOB’s candidacy, do remember Leo Donofrio and his efforts in finding the truth as well as Orly Taitz researching information along these lines.

I have a few pages that I use as a resource whenever I engage in debates on this subject, and this is one of those pages, but I don't see any real need to keep it secret. It's not essential to anything, at least not from my perspective. Sure, it's fun to spring this bit of evidence on people from time to time and watch their surprise at finding out their narrative is not so air-tight as they had previously thought, but it won't have any sort of negative impact that I can see if other people know about it.
That ANYONE can walk in, make a claim, and run for the highest office in the land.
Yes, that has bothered me ever since the "establishment" rolled over for that alien getting to the presidency.

You've almost answered my question. I've been looking at the forum page of Free Republic, and I'm not seeing where a posting will show up as being on the current date. Where exactly are you seeing this?
FR has always been an enigma for me so be patient as this is explained.

Maybe not. Madison didn't own the pen name and had a lot of other stuff on his plate. A set of "Publius" letters published at about that time was written by William Pinkney, who was Madison's Attorney General, so maybe that was him.
I don't think you're going to find any kind of "smoking gun" about this that proves your case beyond a doubt. You find Madison saying this in Congress in 1789:

The debate of the election of William Smith to the House of Representatives dispute involved the construction of Art. I, Sec. 2, clause 2 ("citizen"). It has nothing to do with the construction of Art. II, Sec. 1, clause 5 ("natural born Citizen"). Nowhere in that debate, is anyone trying to clarify who a "natural born Citizen" is. Madison was arguing in favor of Mr. Smith being a "citizen."
William Smith born in the colony of South Carolina was while a youth sent to Europe for his education where he remained till the termination of the revolutionary war In November 1783 he returned and in November, 1788 was elected as one of the members to represent the State of South Carolina in the Congress to commence on the 4th of March 1789. His seat being contested on the ground that he had not been "seven years a citizen of the United States" it was held after debate that he was entitled to the seat.[1]. Madison never disputed Ramsay (who challenged Smith) or a "natural born Citizen" being one born in country to citizen parents.

But Madison used that pseudonym extensively when he penned many of the Federalist Papers. If I recall, he wrote the bulk of the Federalist papers which used that name.

This I did not know, and thanks for informing me of it. It is actually a very good alternative explanation for who might have written the letter, because the author clearly has inside knowledge of the doings of Ambassador Armstrong and others. This was not an "innocent bystander" observing from outside. It was clearly an insider of some sort.
But William Pinkney was a delegate to the State Ratifying convention of Maryland, and therefore his opinion sheds light on what the other members of the ratifying convention would likely have believed about the meaning of "natural born citizen."
Clearly he didn't see it as revolving around "place" of birth.

It would be best if computer analysis could identify Madison as the author, but if it should happen to be William Pinkney, that's not too bad. It was in fact reflecting the official policy of the Madison Presidency at the time.
I doubt Pinkney would have done it if he did not believe it conformed to the intentions of Madison in the matter. Madison had ample opportunities to reverse Ambassador Armstrong, but he clearly did not do so till he was forced to do so by political pressure from various sources.
