Why was Holder thrown under Obama bus in White House document dump?
Coach is Right ^ | 1/31/2012 | Doug Book

It’s easy to tell when Attorney General Eric Holder is about to take part in another bout of prevarication before a congressional committee. Just look for a Friday night, White House sponsored, Department of Justice document dump.

This time the White House oversaw the release of some 500 redacted emails and other assorted tid-bits, designed as usual to lead House and Senate investigators precisely where the Obama Regime wants them to go in their investigation of the “gunwalking” Operation Fast and Furious.

And one of those emails makes it clear that Eric Holder’s DOJ aide, Monty Wilkinson received news of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry’s murder almost immediately after the December 2010 killing had taken place. (1)

“Tragic,” Winkinson responded to December 15th emails from then Phoenix US Attorney Dennis Burke. “I’ve alerted the AG, the Acting DAG, Lisa, etc.” (1)

And after asking Burke for any additional updates he might come across, Wilkinson received the following……“The guns found in the desert near the murder [sic] … officer connect back to the investigation we were going to talk about — they were AK-47s purchased at a Phoenix gun store.” (2)

The “investigation,” Burke referred to was, of course, Fast and Furious.

Naturally this information goes even further in putting the lie to Holder’s May 4th testimony before Congressman Darrell Issa in which the AG claimed to have heard of Operation F&F only a few weeks earlier.

The question of course is: WHY? Why did the White House authorize, or rather undoubtedly TELL the Department of Justice to make such obviously incriminating documentation public?

Barack Obama is deliberately providing proof of what most already know—Eric Holder lied to Darrell Issa. But what does it gain the acting president to make his Attorney General a candidate for a Congressional charge...

Perhaps it is true what William Munny said in Unforgiven: "Deserve's got nothing to do with it..." -- but if anyone DESERVES to be thrown under the Obama bus, it is Eric Holder.

Barack Obama knows that, given the incomparable cowardice of Republican political elites, he could release a DVD of himself and Eric Holder shooting residents at an old ladies home and face nothing more serious than a moderately worded request that they use environmentally friendly ammunition in future!

That's some pretty good sarcasm...

Holder wasn’t thrown under the bus. The Obama Administration and the MSM are still protecting him. It is just that the few honest people in Congress have finally gotten around to subpoenaing the relevant documents. I’m sure there are still plenty of incriminating documents that have mysteriously gone missing. It’s just that there is only so much lying and perjury that people can commit and still get away with it.

Holder becomes the fall guy for this and Barry gives him a Presidential Pardon after the elections in November.

The other choice they have is Holder does not become the fall guy, and is prosecuted and sent to jail. Before that would happen he would turn on Obama and they would both be in deep sh-t.

This would be a good out for Holder. Pardons are much better than jail or Fort Marcy Park. Another way to look at it is if Obama loses the next election there are no pardons for Holder to be given.

That is far more likely than what the article suggests (that Obama is trying to one-up the Republicans)

In the internet age, I'm not sure they had a choice. These are e-mails. There is a sender, a receiver, and at least two back-ups.

There are agencies outside the Justice Department that may have had access, and not all departments have been purged of all honest employees. Hardware would have to be destroyed, hardware that's mentioned in the subpoenas.

I think they felt with the fawning media, and their ability to use verbal gymnastics when testifying, that they can talk their way out of this. They have concluded that destroying hardware would be more risky, I would say.

But there is another explanation for the behavior of the White House. Republicans have known of Eric Holder’s perjury for months. House and Senate committee members have listened as Hillary Clinton, Janet Napolitano, FBI head Robert Moeller, Dennis Burke, former Phoenix ATF head Bill Newell and a host of others have lied their way through the proceedings.

Yet not one charge has been leveled against any of the people involved in the Fast and Furious related deaths of hundreds and breaking of countless United States statutes. ...

Holder's trial could be timed to ensure that it doesn't complete until after 1-20-2013. He can't be pardoned until he is convicted. Put that option out of reach for Obama and Holder. Impeach and convict Obama while Holder is in custody awaiting trial.

“Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry’s murder”

There were TWO men murdered. And there’s the “third bullet” (0r was is a weapon)’s disappearance.

2 men
Not 1.

Why is it so important that we only hear of the 1 now?

No weapons were recovered from Jaime Zapata’s murder in Mexico so it’s hard to positively connect it to F&F.

I had thought there was at least one third bullet or weapon that had actually disappeared. Then again, the presence of an agent in Mexico or of any such incursion is an act of war.
