Seems like BS.. Madelyn Payne Dunham left Barry 1/2 million bucks.. I don’t see Madelyn leaving 1/2 million to a person she don’t even know— she also raised him.. Barry is a part of the dunham family.. he was born in Kenya I believe..

Use a little imagination, he declares on his tax forms he was left just under 500 hundred thou worth of Bank Shares, and you assume that a woman who was a tenant of a two-bedroom apartment, whose husband sold insurance on the telephone and who never owned any property, 'saved' enough money out of her income to amass such a legacy? How about asking where the funds originated? Might what he was left represent the sum left over after his care and maintenance...for which the Dunhams were probably well rewarded, but might Madelyn have been an honourable woman who spent nothing on herself?

Did she leave an equal sum to Maya, who was her granddaughter? If she didn't, why not? That's been the problem all along, closing the door to questions because one wants to be seen to have all the answers gets you nowhere. It's really more productive to admit: You don't know who his mother was. You don't know who his father was. You don't know when he was born. And you don't know WHERE.

This much I can tell you. He wasn't born with the name he has now. The parents of that child were the kenyan student and Anna. He ended up in Kenya, taught school in Uganda, went to his father's funeral, and looks a whole lot more like his brother Malik who remembers growing up with him in Nairobi.

Doesn't mean he's their biological family. They could have legally adopted him or got him some other way. It might be something as simple as they always wanted a son (a boy named Sue and a girl named Stanley).
