What the wha???

Blogged By 374 Comments

I cannot tell you how hyped up I am at this note my friend Linda received today from her child’s school.

Her child has to have DOCTORS NOTE to send a packed lunch to school.

And does anyone notice the irony in the “health coordinator” and enforcement of no bagged lunches?

Well, that’s because we must follow Madame Obama’s mandate for eating properly. Otherwise you must starve!

Doctor Who?

Dear Teacher,

In the year 2020 when the US school lunch program collapsed only those children who had their own food did not starve to death. Therefore little Michael must be allowed to bring lunch from home.

Obviously, the government knows better than the parents about what’s best for their children. (/sarc)

I would send a letter back to Ms Queen of the World and remind her that she is MY employee, and the child is MY child and I will send a lunch with MY child if I want to. That it is none of her business if MY child has a sack lunch.

Just out of curiosity do you think he would side with the mom or the school?

I know the technical studies side of universities have more conservatives than do the liberal arts but there is a whole lot of brain washing going on at most campuses.

There is no law forbidding lunch from home. Likely this is some 25 year old revolutionary follower of Obama. That or someone doing what someone else told them was required. This has no more legal weight than that teacher who was telling kids they could be arrested for disrespecting Obama.

Demand they produce it. It’s simply bureaucratic BS saying that the school only gets federal money for the number of lunches they sell.

A letter from an attorney like Sekulow should shut this garbage down nicely.

Heh. My son stepped off the school bus when he was in Kindergarten and puked all over the sidewalk.

He’s almost 17 now and hasn’t had a school lunch since then. Homemade sandwiches or soup in a thermos, fruit and homemade brownies or cookies are always in his lunchbox. His friends envy his lunches.

I would say that it is time to for all parents and concerned citizens to go to their local school board meetings en-mass and demand that their school district opt out of the Federal School lunch programs and really all Federal programs.

And a doctor cannot send a note detailing that a child must follow a special diet. HIPPA baby!
No school could demand a note spelling out the details of a child’s medical condition. HIPPA, ADA, etc ad nauseum. This ALONE proves that the school is making this policy up on the wing. And a school cannot use medical as the only exemption. Halal? Kosher?
What a joke.

Send them an attorneys letter saying that refusing to let them eat it will be child abuse, and that confiscation of the child’s lunch from home will be seen as larceny.

the note should simply state that for the child to receive ANY nutrition during the day at school at all, a packed lunch is required since the child cannot be forced to eat the CRAP served at the school...
