qam1, Thank you for posting that so I didn’t have to. John Drake, nothing personal, but you don’t have the slightest idea what you are talking about when it comes to the moral agency of men vs. women. You talk like a feminist, or a man brainwashed by feminists. The funniest part is that you have an old Roman quote as your tagline. Look up what the ancient Greeks and Romans thought about the true nature of women.

I guess I was raised in an era when most women acted with virtue (or were expected to), at least the ones I knew, and was raised and surrounded by women who abided by those Judeo-Christian codes, including my wife of several decades. Naturally, there were always men and women who weren’t interested in living moral lives, they’re everywhere, always have been and the jails are full of them, and prostitution is the second oldest profession in the world. Brainwashed by feminists, huh? I guess it depends what definition of a feminist is; 100 years ago, they wanted the right to vote (no problem with that), however I have been a pro-lifer my entire life, so that makes me an enemy of modern feminists. If feminist you mean that women should be given equal respect for their God-given talents, and recognized as such, in the home or at work, yes. But for sexual freedom, nope, same for men. It leads to tragedy over and over again. Illegitimacy, STD’s, abortion, lies, broken families, etc. As for the ancient Greeks and Romans, I’ve studied both, and yes, they’re societies were considered pagan prior to Christ’s arrival, hence their limited perception of the value of human beings, both genders. I guess I’m an anachronism (Greek word) as to what was normal only fifty plus years ago; but what transpires today as normal is heartbreaking. The old immorality is the new morality, simply put, and what comes from it is only pain, IMHO.
