The nearest think we have to Mencken today is P.J. O'Rouke. Except that Mencken was even more conservative.
He was no admirer of any "King Roosevelt," whether that meant Roosevelt I (Theodore) or Roosevelt II (Franklin).

Very true. But he was harder on FDR because FDR deserved it.
It’s because WE, as a people, get worse. H.L. understood where the socialism he watched come here from Europe would ultimately take us. It has!

Let me tie this video to perhaps THE most critical issue bearing on our future. That’s the push by fedzilla to hike their assistance to college students for that much vaunted “higher education”.
With some exceptions notable by their rarity, the left dominates the academic institutions in this country. What better way to increase their numbers than to subsidize putting millions of OUR sons and daughters in classrooms controlled by ardent leftist indoctrinators? How many parents do you know who scrimped to put a kid into one of these places only to find the kid, home during a break, spouting leftist anti-capitalist nonsense? Our family isn’t very large – but I can name several.
Time to put some ADULTS BACK IN CHARGE!
