Double stack Brick, Logs, concrete logs, ICF blocks, all tend to be very bullet resistant.
There are a lot of good reasons to build houses out of concrete.....I want to do it to get the thermal mass that once well insulated on the exterior, keeps the house warm in winter for a long time.
It looks cool, but I was left with a few questions. Is this available? What’s the cost? Is the weight of this product within the limits of conventional foundations? And last, but not least, it seems to hold up to pistol rounds but what are it’s limits as to caliber?
Speaking of ICF, I’m looking into building a house with ICF. That’s how I came across this ballisticrete. I don’t want to use drywall on ICF due to mold issue.
They do some amazing things with sea containers these days.. from below ground bunkers to multilevel affairs.. your imagination and your pocketbook are the only restraints
Cinder block construction, re-bar dropped down every few bricks, pour concrete down the top of the wall till they are full. Even a 40mm would have a hard time with my walls.
Let me know what you guys think about this. If I can use this on the ICF house, I’m figuring I can avoid drywall which is junk and have it bulletproof, to boot.

Neat! I like them. If only the building inspector’s office would think so.
The tragedy is we are worried about bullet proof homes.

They’ll withstand any natural disaster which is way better than stick-built homes.
A lot of homes in the town I grew up in were adobe. The old fashioned kind with mud, straw, broken glass, etc. They were mostly plastered inside and out. Between one and two feet thick, they could stop most bullets and on rare occasions, did.
A house built in a week???
“Walls go up in minutes and a small house can be erected in one day using local labor and coated by plastering or stucco applicators ready for occupancy in about a week.
GigaHouse is a super insulated steel framed building system utilizing GigaPanel components and so energy efficient that it can exceed even ICF construction in thermal qualities.”

Yes, it is a tragedy. That we have to prepare for the immigration onslaught. The people flooding in are from very violent countries: Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador. They among countries with the highest murder rates in the world.
Squeaky on a breezy day ?
It’s funny you asked that. I was thinking that, too. But I did find a GigaHouse built in a breezy place., as in hurricanes. LOL

Back in mid 80’s I tested sifcon ballistic walls for sandia labs. My EOD team used grenades, small arms, 50 caliber and RPG’s against this stuff. Stopped all attacks except a shape charge we rigged to make sure we punched a hole in it.....
We discussed sifcon here at FR back in 07.......

Granted not same as your product on this thread but was eventually used in construction of ballistic structures.
