Stick with magpul. Quality products worth the extra cost, outstanding company.

“”How about buying some Magpul mags from CDNN?””

None listed on their site.

There are a couple of brands on that page that I would probably avoid except for range use, but most of them are well respected brands or equal to GI spec mags.

Factory mags are usually more reliable than after market ones. The difference in price is worth it. You may be betting your life on it.

What do you think about Tapco? I’ve ran thousandsof 7.62x39 and never had a problem. They are $10 each. You guys probably know something more about them than me. I replaced my old steel AK with these. Just looking for opinions. My local gun shop doesn’t have Magpul that I ever saw.

I’ve got good no name mags from CDNN for a Mini 14 but factory mags are $45. Go with Magpul. They’re $10-12 at Midway. Also got Lancers at Midway for a good price but haven’t tried them yet.

CDNN is an excellent company to buy a known product from. I’ve bought quite a number of items from them over the years at excellent prices.

However, it is generally a product I know. Magazines are critical. If I knew Magpul worked in my rifle, I’d buy from whoever had the best price on them. But if CDNN had a super price on another product, I might get one to check out.

Another vote for Magpul. I agree with Slim, it’s not a good place to economize.

CDNN is not a manufacturer, they are a liquidator. I use mag from them all the time. They have different mfgs.

I received an E-Mail from the NRA, (which I'm a member), recommending a manufacturer, CDNN Sports, as a good place for purchasing AR magazines.

I usually buy AR magazines from Magpul, but these other mags are less expensive.

I've dealt with CDNN for years. One of the quickest turnarounds for parts and magazines in the gun biz, and a flat-rate shipping charge of $9.99 for any amount of accessories to anywhere in the country.

My only gripe: since I pay by Postal Money Order rather than credit cards, I can't get all the way through their checkout shopping feature, and have to print out a separate sheet of customer name/address/phone/e.mail/customer # for them, and another page for the requested items. Big whoopin' deal.

Along the line of liquidation, Para Ordnance is gone, absorbed by a conglomerate.

Charlie Steen's SARCO of Pennsylvania [formerly New Jersey] is now handling the closeout items from Para Ord now, with such items as Para Ordnance *Expert 1911* frames going for as little as $125.00. At least 43 different [caliber/length/finish/type] slides are available, at prices ranging from $119 to $225.

They're not quite a *you name it, we got it* operation. But close!
