Barack Obama's Third Term?

The best line President Obama delivered in his 2015 State of the Union Address was not one written for him by his speechwriters. When he said he would not be on the ballot again, Republicans who had just taken over both Houses of Congress stood and applauded.

Good naturedly, but with a bit of sarcasm, Mr. Obama reminded his opponents that he won both times he was on the national ballot. He was the first Democrat since Franklin D. Roosevelt to achieve back-to-back election victories.

We need to acknowledge that he is a formidable political actor. He has defied the Constitution in many areas since his first days in office. He brazenly announced he did not like the Defense of Marriage Act and would not defend it in court (or enforce it before it got to court).

But Michelle Obama’s approval numbers far exceed Hillary’s. She shares the most powerful name in American politics today. She would assure a continuation of Barack Obama policies, but even more significantly: Michelle Obama would assure the powerful Obama coalition would stay together.

It seems far fetched that Michelle would run, but what if.

In a way it would be funny to see Hillary! thrown to the side once more.

But, in reality, Mrs. Obama would be a very formidable and popular opponent to the GOP nominee.

Scary, I know.

I would pay to see an election between Ms Obama and say Donald Trump or Sarah P. At least neither of them would hold back.

We need to acknowledge that he is a formidable political actor.

It isn't so much any prowess or shrewdness on Øbongo's part as it is a general malaise on the part of the foolish LIV Americans who chose to set him loose upon the landscape. It is they who don't care how foolishly or unconstitutionally he acts.

“He was the first Democrat since Franklin D. Roosevelt to achieve back-to-back election victories.”

Um...What about President Clinton? 1993-2001, back to back!

“In this climactic scene, Lincoln says rather uncharacteristically: “I am the President of the United States, clothed in immense power!”

That line was taken from Carl Sandburg’s massive biography of Lincoln. Actually, it was very characteristic of Lincoln.

He was the first Democrat since Franklin D. Roosevelt to achieve back-to-back election victories.

As someone pointed out above, he was the second; Clinton was the first. And Kennedy was killed and Truman and Johnson chose not to run, so I'm not sure that really says that much about Barky's alleged brilliance.

The Sinkmaster was also elected twice - if the article can’t even get basic facts right, why should I listen to the conjecture based on them?

There is a big difference between being first lady and being president, and a LOT more slack will be accorded a first lady. If she tried to run for president her current pool of goodwill would evaporate overnight. I just don’t see anyone who whines about receiving an education the rest of us could only dream of being elected.

The opposition would have to be truly horrible, surpassing Mitts possessed Pez dispenser act, in order to lose to Michelle Obama. The Dems have better candidates.

All you’d need to do is string together a series of ads of Michelle’s whining and hectoring and she’d be toast IMO.

I agree, Michelle would be one of the biggest presidential election losers in history.

The media and 20 or 30% of the democrats would be white hot for her, but come voting day, it would be a total wipe out for her.

I believe you underestimate the mindless stupidity of the low-info voter.

Remember 2008 and 2012?

Could this be what “Jade Helm” is all about?

To get us used to seeing military combat walking in our streets, stores, churches, driving military vehicles, hearing over head helicopters?

And then Martial Law being imposed, and what do we have, a take over of our Freedom Government to Muslim Brotherhood....ISIS????

Could that be why all the immigration being moved in, is that why certain high ranking military officials being reduced or retired?

Could that be why all the fuss about internet takeover???

Bear in mind...
0bozo couldn't do all the crap he has done without the aid of his close friend and pal John "Dolezal" Boehner!

I recommend using "Dolezal" as Boehner's middle name since it is obvious they use the same tanning spray
