The British public has reacted with fury after footage of the Queen performing a Nazi salute as a young girl was published by The Sun.

The shocking film from 1933 shows Edward VIII teaching his nieces the seven-year-old future Queen and her three-year-old sister Princess Margaret how to do the salute in the gardens at Balmoral.

The publication of the 17-second film has outraged thousands across the nation who believe that the Queen cannot be held responsible for her actions as a girl playing with her family.

Scores of Twitter users vented their anger this morning, saying The Sun had 'sunk to a new low' and calling for the newspaper's owner Rupert Murdoch to be banned from the UK.

Oh good grief. It was 1933 and she was a child.

Maybe they should throw the queen in jail with the 94 year old bookkeeper.

Horrible.

The Queen Mother has a reputation for having served troops during the war

Not news. Edward VIII was a Nazi sympathizer.

Also not news: kids ape their parents long before they understand what they're doing.

Also not news: Tabloids publish stupid stories. The Brits should push the metaphysical mute button and move on...

Plus the fact that Hitler was very popular even in the US at that time. What purpose does it do to bring up something 80 years ago?

I wouldn’t hold her responsible for her actions at that age, but clearly it happened, it’s interesting, and it will sell papers. Stupid to condemn the Sun for this, IMO. I’d rather all media disclose everything they know as opposed to sitting on it and deciding what they deem appropriate to tell us.

More than half of British immigrants think Hitler and Himmler didn’t do enough, if you get my drift.

Seven years later she was giving Hitler the finger from a bombed Buckingham Palace. Hitler was a goose-stepping cartoon character in America in 1933.

Hell, the Marxists and their lackeys in the MSM are resurrecting the Civil War (War of Northern Aggression) all over again. Its what they do. Morons all!

It was also the common means of saluting the flag here in the USA till congress amended the flag code after the nazis started using it.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bellamy_salute

>>The Bellamy salute is the salute described by Francis Bellamy, Christian socialist minister and author, to accompany the American Pledge of Allegiance, which he had authored. During the period when it was used with the Pledge of Allegiance, it was sometimes known as the “flag salute”. Later, during the 1920s and 1930s, Italian fascists and Nazis adopted a salute which had the same form, and which was derived from the Roman salute. This resulted in controversy over the use of the Bellamy salute in the United States. It was officially replaced by the hand-over-heart salute when Congress amended the Flag Code on December 22, 1942.<<

Stupid to condemn the Sun for this, IMO.

Reminds me of when the MSM tried to start a scandal by reporting that Pres. Bush was arrested for a DUI back around 1972 and that his lovely wife Laura was involved in a horrible traffic accident when she was a teenager.......

Definitely not news that is worthy of printing unless you're a ghoul for sensationalism..........

I believe American children pledged allegiance to the American Flag with one out stretched right arm...

until it became politically incorrect. ( ; )
