Since Obama FAILED to follow the rules of the Corker-Cardin amendment.....it no longer applies. Do not let Congress still try to pass it under Corker-Cardin! Hold their feet to the laws they pass! Call them

You must always be an optimist. With the various and numerous quislings in the senate and the “leadership” there will be no resistance to the tyrant.

The Senate does not care.

They never wanted to stop it. That’s why the Permanent Political Class has fallen so far out of favor, and why Trump and Carson are doing so well.

The Senate abdicated their responsibilty under the Constitution 99-1. There is no way to stop the Iran “deal”.

With a parliamentary parlor trick, enabled by the Republicans, Barry has been allowed to pass a treaty with a minority vote in the Senate. So, it now only takes 1/3 approval to make White Crib deals with foreign enemies. Shame on all of them!

And here is the perfect storm:
* Barry pulls defensive missiles out of Poland on the trajectory path from Iran to the Continental US.
* Iran has been practicing and perfecting implosion triggering devices so once the fissile material is ready (and it won't take much for the last step) the warhead is ready to be mounted on an ICBM.
* Sanctions will be immediately lifted allowing an inflow of money, making the US a partner in the most prolific and evil state sponsor of terror. Israel will be gone along with all Christians in the Middle East (but Barry couldn't care any less).
* Iran's trajectory tests indicate the same arc needed to set off a small/modest atmospheric burst, creating an EMP (look it up) crippling the power grid of the Great Satan and disrupting commerce, government, and the way of life in America.

Are we stupid? Yes, yes we are VERY stooooopid. Kerry is a dangerously gullible moron, and Barry simply does not like America. But hey, you can do what you want with a 1/3 affirmative vote in the Senate.

Kudos to Joel C. Rosenberg for making the point. But as Joel notes in his article, the true credit must go to Andy McCarthy's excellent article in National Review. Let's just hope Tom Cotton and like-minded Senators pick up on the idea ASAP.

PS: I say the above in full knowledge that I may get flamed by the NR haters on FR for giving NR a favorable mention.

Michigan and Oklahoma AGs call on states to impose their own sanctions against Iran.

Declare that the President has not fulfilled the terms of Corker-Cardin. Declare the President’s Iran deal a foreign treaty, as per the Constitution. Hold a vote immediately on the treaty. When the treaty fails to gain 67 votes, declare it null and void.

Right on the money.

If Cruz were to lead this effort, I'd forgive his agreeing to the Corker bill.

Trump said Obama has pledge to protect Iran. Does this mean that Iran has pledged to protect the U.S.?

Whether it is an executive agreement or a treaty, it requires illegality to perform and should, therefore, be utterly rejected. If the Senate does not reject it, Mr. Trump, our next President apparent, must declare it void and of no effect.

To his credit, Trump honors contracts, rightly sees a treaty as a contract (which is a mutual agreement), and says he will not simply breach the treaty because it is a bad deal, but if it is confirmed by the Senate he will look for holes in it.

Well, Mr. Trump, there appears to be a big gaping hole in this treaty (or executive agreement). There is such a thing as contracts that are void, of no effect, and unenforceable. A contract in which the performance would break the law is such a contract. The U.S. Constitution and laws forbid treason as illegal. The U.S. Constitution defines treason as including “adhering to [U.S.] enemies, giving them aid and comfort.” (Art III, Sec 3, Cl 1). This treaty appears to require illegality becasue it looks to be an agreement whereby the U.S. is adhering to and aiding Iran, an avowed enemy of the U.S. in its nuclear development.

Note to Trump: A treaty (or executive agreement) that requires treason to perform is illegal and void. You have no duty, nor should you, enforce such a treaty because it amounts to an unenforceable contract. It would be rather your duty as President to declare such treaty void and of no effect.

50 years ago that might’ve been the case. Today this republican “leadership” are no leaders, and they care NOT what we want. They are patsies, wimps, emasculated weenies. They crave the affection of the media more than they care what is best for the people.

Excellent Idea, Senators Cruz and Paul should run with this and force it through.
