Former IL Republican Party Chair Says Trump Can't Win, Hillary Better Alternative
CHICAGO - Former Illinois Republican Party Chairman Pat Brady, told Bill Cameron on "Connected to Chicago" that Donald Trump "cannot win the election." Brady, who is a Kasich delegate to the Republican National Convention, said there's still an outside chance that Trump will not receive the nomination. Brady told Cameron that Trump's solutions are not Republican solutions and that Trump's lack of organization ensures he will lose.
Brady said neither Abe Lincoln or Ronald Reagan would attend this year's convention because of Trump, and that he's not surprised that many members of the Illinois GOP Congressional Delegation aren't attending - although they usually don't.
Regarding the presumptive Democrat Party nominee, Brady told Cameron that FBI Director James Comey is "one of the most highly respected law enforcement people in the country" and that he had "no quarrel with his decision not to bring forward" an indictment of Clinton.
Brady admitted that no matter what happens, he's "certainly not voting for Donald Trump" in November; and thinks that four years of Hillary Clinton might be good in that it will allow the Republicans to get the Senate back in 2018, which he presumes the Republicans will lose this year. Brady said he "cannot stomach the idea of Donald Trump being in the White House for a minute," and that Hillary Clinton is a better alternative.
Brady's philosophy is: "If we're going to wreck it [the Republican Party], let's wreck it all the way" arguing that the GOP has to get off the social issues and back to what he describes as Ronald Reagan's themes of "national security and fiscal issues" (NOTE: Reagan ran on his now famous three-legged stool of free enterprise, strong defense, and pro-family social policies).

From Beverly Perlson:
Folks, after several conversations with Governor Rauners office, I can report that the Muslim Advisory Council legislation (SB574) that was sitting on the governors desk, is dead for now.
What all Illinois voters should know is that this bill, SB574, passed the House and the Senate overwhelmingly, and it was Democrat Senator Terry Link who effectively killed the bill. In a conversation with a rep in Links office, he reported there were many technical problems with the bill, one of which was that it violated house rules!
I was told that if this bill does come up again, it would be in the spring. He advised that all who oppose this bill should contact their local reps and express their opposition.
Please call your reps and let them know you oppose the bill! My reasons for opposition to SB574 are twofold:
*Why should one group have preferential treatment and voice in Illinois governmental matters? If that is the case, legislators need to be put on notice that we as Catholics, Jews, Presbyterians, Irish, Polish, Italian, all groups, demand an Advisory Council;
*Imam Kareem Infra, who is associated with this bill, is a former Chairman of ISNA, which was named an unindicted co-conspirator back in the 2008 Holy Land Foundation (HLF) terrorist financing trial. In addition, a simple google search of this Imams writings should concern all legislators and any person involved in any way with the financing of terrorism certainly should not ever have any voice in governmental matters of any kind!
Im frankly outraged that Infra continues to live here among us!
Below is the link to the bill and its history. Please note again, in the words of the rep in Senator Links office, the action taken by Senator Link on June 30th killed the bill. For now!

It is mind boggling that this bill passed both houses with overwhelming support, but then again, this is the current state of Illinois politics! Please contact your reps and use your strong voice to let them know you oppose this ridiculous and reckless legislation. Also, please pass this to your Illinois lists.
Thank You

Thanks for posting this. I also was shocked as to how many Republicans (aka Combine) voted for this. I felt is was unconstitutional but would Princess Lisa really go after it after Daddy passed it? Yeah right! I asked the Governor how many Shia, Sunni, and Wahhabi would be appointed. I asked that when a Catholic Commission was formed, could I be considered for appointment. I got the stock blah-blah form letter back. This state is screwed up, and Rauner is absolutely incompetent. We are SO screwed.
It all starts at the community/state level. Hopefully things will clean up nation wide with President Trump! I hope to live long enough (I'm 75) to see the death of the DEM party and the complete booting out of every Republican who are DEMS in disguise!
bkmk
Infamously, Sandack "changed his mind" and voted for gay marriage, abolishing the death penalty, driver's licenses for illegals, in-state tuition for illegals, Madigan's budget deal, etc., etc., yet STILL claims to be a "conservative" who only disagree with the GOP base on "one issue"
I'm having a hard time finding reliable information about where Olsen is ideologically. It's a bit like when Kelly Ayotte was elected Senator from New Hampshire and she was called everything from a far-right Tea Party leader to a squishy RINO centrist.
Funny thing, Olsen LOOKS like a younger version of insane terrorist-sympathizer Paulbot Justin Amash. Hopefully he is nothing like him ideologically.
hard to figure out where these newcomers are often. sometimes takes a term or so.
see who endorses him in the fall
Eek!
