Instead of landing and having to ask strangers where “the plug” is, you’ll find it conveniently plugged into the wall nearby. The Jamaican government is looking over a proposal to install cannabis kiosks in Jamaican airports. Only one year ago, the Jamaican House of Representatives passed a law that made possession of 2 ounces of marijuana legal.
Now the proposal being looked over by the Cannabis Licensing Authority would allow a tourist to obtain 2 ounces from a kiosk before they even check into their hotel....

What do people see in that poison? It’s just a gateway drug that leads to the hard core stuff. During my LE career pretty much every criminal started out with alcohol and/or marijuana before moving on to hard core drugs. The only exception were those who indulged solely in alcohol.

Googling tells me there may be about 40 “joints” per ounce (exact size varies). So roughly 80 marijuana cigarettes. Sounds like an awful lot to me but what would I know about it?
Coffee grown here is considered to be some of the best. I like organic Kona blends better.
I presume they grow better stuff now than in the ‘70s. Back then a small group of us burned through an ounce of Jamaican every day.

I don’t know what people see in it. I tried it a couple of times as a teenager, about 30 years ago. It made me paranoid and scared. I was sure that no one liked me.
Alcohol too.... the two bring your worst fears to the surface.
Like buying a gallon of Vodka. Imagine a coffee can almost full. Yeah, I would say it was a lot. Enough to keep you stupid for a long time.
Wine is so cheap and easily accessible, compared to a trip to Jamaica, with its awful crime and miserable sanitation standards.
It is a whole lot. If you went through one ounce in a week you wouldn’t have time to do much else.
A lot, for a vacation. Probably the machines will dispense an eighth or less. Maybe only a single joint.

In my experience, nearly every criminal also watched cartoons as a child, and smoked tobacco as a teen. Go figure.
