Yes, they do. I had a mother who would harp at me constantly: "you should do this, you should try this, you should go to loud parties and get drunk like everyone else." From her pov, there was no other way to enjoy life. I heard it constantly --- why don't you (fill in the blank).
Somewhere in my late 30's or early 40's I realized what she was really saying to me: "Why aren't you somebody else."
I am 62, and I am still shy. I don't like very noisy places; I don't like crowded places. If left long enough in these types of situations, I will have an anxiety attack (or what used to be called a panic attack).
That being said, I think Aspberger's Syndrome goes futher than just being shy.
Everything the Left does is all about the socialist/communist revolution. The rest is all window dressing to mask their real agenda.
Take their "climate change" movement, for example. This movement has nothing to do with climate or changing it or saving the planet. It has everything to do with the revolution. The connection you ask? Get rid of fossil fuels and switch to "sustainable" energy sources. But what runs on fossil fuels? Capitalism. Their goal is to get rid of capitalism and change to a socialist/communist system.
Do not believe anything today's Marxist Left says. Just watch what they are "doing". They are just presenting a ruse or ploy to obfuscate their true goals.

One place where conventional psychology really bombs out is in the spiritual sphere.
A child who is really spiritually sensitive may be led by perceptions of things that more “normal” people scarcely notice, if notice at all.
A spiritual counselor, and/or a pastor, may be the best resource to discuss matters with such a child.

Yes... Back in the 70s they really loved to go after people who were religious. I even remember a youtube channel run by a psychiatrist in California say that when people are religious, what they mean is they are mentally disturbed.
In Australia and Italy, mystics and people who were religious were often branded with schizophrenia and locked away "for their own good." I even remember it happening to one Polish Nun who got locked away by the commies.
It still goes on in the EU and parts of Eastern Europe though not as much. Usually they're just forcibly drugged up.
It doesn’t mean that conventional psychology can’t be of use in any circumstance, but it means that it is easy for its practitioners to get really arrogant.
Psychologists really ought to understand spiritual issues well enough to refer to the appropriate subject matter experts when they appear. A true biologically mediated illusion will disappear with the administration of a neuroleptic. A spiritual experience will not.

Every few years a new diagnosis is the one doctors and pharmacies market. Medical and Pharmaceutical are businesses they need people to keep being sick or they go out of business. They are also helpful if you truly have a disease or accident etc.
Yes some people truly have “autism” symptoms. But when so many of the symptoms are symptoms everyday people have who don’t have the disease, it’s crazy so many parents stick their kids on Rx drugs without first exhausting all natural healthier and easier approaches.
Well maybe in this hurry up constant schedule world they are not so easy, like change of diet and water, lessen stress and schedules on kids, get proper sleep, proper discipline, proper love and affection with kids, proper exercise etc and not over stimulate them with tv and computer and games or every thing they want from birth. Kids bodies are not meant for soda and much of the “food” they are given. They systems can get off track so quickly especially if they are uniquely born more susceptible.
I know parents in both categories some Rx drugging their kids rather than deal with changing the family lifestyle for one child who is a little different in nature than the rest of the family, and some who are truly dealing with a child with specific conditions that need specific care including Rx drugs.
Since we didn’t vote for or against Barron, he’s of no concern to anyone but his parents.
This is so amazing. Are you aware that Asperger’s is not a disease? Are you aware that fully 50% of the Nobel Laureates had or have Aspergers? Are you aware the IQ of most Asperger’s is about like everyone else’s? What you may not be aware of is how difficult social interactions may be for a person with Asperger’s. This whole reaction by the certain malicious groups about a young child is actually an indication of mental illness in them...it is a form of sociopathy.

Are you aware some people with trisomy 21 have cells without trisomy 21 and a lot of those cells are in their brains. They are often very capable intellectually. We didn’t know that for a long time and they were consigned to hell holes because they “had” Down Syndrome.
Maybe sociopaths ought to labeled as such and experience what people with Aspergers or Down Syndrome experience. You know, a walk a mile in their shoes experience.
